00:00What's occurring? Gavin and Stacey will be back for its final ever episode on Christmas

00:06Day at least in the UK for UK audiences. It comes five years after the last Christmas

00:14special aired so that was in 2019 and if you don't remember because it's been five years

00:21it ended with Nessa getting down on one knee and proposing to Smithy. So yeah there's been

00:28a bit of a cliffhanger there for five years. We weren't sure if there was going to be new

00:32episodes but thankfully we're getting one last trip to Barry and Bill and Ricky. So

00:39what do we know so far about it? Well there's a bit of a twist that unlike the 2019 special

00:47the 2024 special is not actually set at Christmas so even though it's airing on Christmas Day

00:52and it's billed as a Christmas special it isn't set at Christmas. They filmed it earlier

00:57in the year in about May time I think if I remember correctly so it's set yeah at

01:03a different time of the year. They're not really giving much away they have hinted that

01:07perhaps we may find out what happened on the fishing trip after all but yeah the synopsis

01:14they've released does not give away much at all really.
