00:00Tan Sri, can I ask you, what does an astrophysicist do?

00:04Well, astrophysics, as the name implies, is the physics of the stars.

00:11So an astrophysicist studies the stars. And when I was a researcher, I would work in the

00:18observatories in various parts of the world to actually observe the sky through huge telescopes.

00:27And it also meant living in mountains where the observatories are. And so this is why I'm

00:34so in love with the mountains. These mountains take you closer to the universe, to the stars.

00:43But it's all about the physics of the universe. Universe.

00:48Oh, okay. Like what you see now on our screen, right?

00:52This is a picture of the equipment in the Langkawi National Observatory,

00:58which in the centre there is the Milky Way, or the galaxy Milky Way, which we are observing.

01:06Okay. That's something so interesting, right, that you've never done before, I'm sure.

01:22Yeah.
