Cop who tasered 95yo faces jail after guilty verdict

Cop Kristian White, who fatally tasered a 95-year-old woman, has been found guilty of manslaughter. NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb addresses the media.

00:00The death of Clare Nowland is a terrible tragedy and my deepest condolences again go to the Nowland family.

00:07The court has found Clare Nowland died as a result of the actions of a police officer.

00:14This should never have happened.

00:17The officer's employment is currently under review and that process is underway.

00:25His employment, in terms of his ongoing employment, is also subject to a legal process and that will follow

00:36and I expect to consider that matter next week.

00:40I'll provide an update on those issues when that's available.

00:45The officer in charge of the investigation has updated the Nowland family this afternoon about the court process.
