00:00Miyawaki attracts a lot of biodiversity, it is an oxygen tank of our area, it helps

00:28in pest control, it helps in water percolation and this is I think one of the best nature

00:35currently we have, further especially the urban landscape where there is a lack of space,

00:40high rise pollution.

00:41This is one of the most beautiful and urban India's largest Miyawaki forest where we have

01:04about 130,000 settings.

01:05When we reached out to the Municipal Corporation, we were given this land.

01:26We started that, it was tough and you can see that these are just 16-17 month saplings.

01:52Being a non-profit organization, we do plantation only in the government lands, which belong

01:57to the government.

01:58So getting land is a very difficult task for us, many times we have to wait for years for

02:07permission to get land.

02:08We don't need any ownership in that, we just do develop the plants, we ensure the future

02:19is safe of the planted saplings.

02:50I have seen many government bodies are doing Miyawaki only for the sake of name, they don't

02:57have the details of forest survey, they don't have the details of soil analysis, they don't

03:03have the studies of flora and fauna, they don't have the studies of climatic condition.

03:07So it is a very technical method, it is a very beautiful method and by creating urban

03:13forests in such a small space, it can be a big solution for climate change, global warming,

03:18heat wave, go for the local species, go for the forest survey.

03:22So it is a beautiful method, don't spoil it.
