01:16These are facts.

01:20IAS gives 10,000 to 15,000 to 10,000 students depending on the number of seats.

01:2694% of students give interviews in English medium.

01:305% give interviews in Hindi.

01:33The rest of the students give interviews in all languages.

01:35So, the filtration is at the same level.

01:38And what has not happened, happens in the interview.

01:41There is a huge difference in marking patterns in the interviews.

01:45If you sit with me for 10 minutes and look at the facts,

01:50you will have to admit that there is discrimination.

01:53Now, it is happening intentionally.

01:55I don't know if it is happening on its own.

01:57Sometimes what happens is that we have a level of sophistication in our mind

02:03that some people don't look good to us.

02:06They go away on their own.

02:08Just like someone says that I am not a racist,

02:12but when a person who is looking for a wife says that he wants a slim and fair wife,

02:17then you are not a racist, but you want a fair wife.

02:22So, he does not understand the difference between being fair and beautiful.

02:27Because racism has gone to the subconscious level.

02:30The love for English is at the subconscious level of UPSC members.

02:37I feel that the kids who speak Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam in the interview

02:41will not feel that they are of any use.

02:44And this is happening when the PM of the country does not speak English.

02:48Sometimes I worry that if this is the case while Modi ji is alive,

02:54then what will happen in the rest of the time?

02:57So, no one decides the composition of the interview board?

03:01It happens in a very random way.

03:03At the very least, linguistic sensitivity is not an issue for them.

03:07It is not a matter of any kind.

03:09Look at the participation of women in UPSC.

03:12There is no reservation.

03:14There is reservation in SC, ST, OBC.

03:16So, if you do anything, so many people will come.

03:18But where there is no reservation, there is no women.

03:21So, look at the participation.

03:23If it is not in the language, then look at the participation.

03:25UPSC does the job of killing all languages in a very clean and modest way.

03:33Because they are all elites.

03:35All their friends are elites.

03:37Their children want to become IAS.

03:39So, their children will become IAS only when there is competition between elites and others.
