00:00I think cinema is such a powerful tool and such a powerful medium, it has the ability

00:15to impact people's lives.

01:15I don't want to sound patronising, but she's extremely talented, beautiful and hardworking.

01:42I really think of her as the epitome of what an actress should be around the world, internationally.

01:48So it's great fun working with her.

02:12Ranbir is a huge star, we all know that.

02:41I'm a South Indian myself, and we do have a lot of Tamilians in the film as well.

02:51And I feel like if there was anything that was anti any of that, I'm sure I would have

03:00been the first one to sort of not accept it.

03:04And as far as the accent is concerned, I have a tutor, I've had a trainer, we've had a diction

03:09coach.

03:19I believe I was destined to be in this film.

03:22I believe Deepika was destined to be cast opposite me.

03:26And yeah, I mean, it's Romeo and Juliet.

03:28So the chemistry between the leads really lies at the core and is the essence of the

03:34film.

03:35February 15, 2014, I remember waking up that morning with this strange, British feeling

03:53in my stomach.

03:56I had no idea what I was feeling.

04:00Life all of a sudden just felt meaningless.

04:03And there were days when I just wanted to give up.

04:09And couple of weeks later, I was diagnosed with clinical depression.

04:16Four years on, I stand here in front of all of you with a slightly better understanding,

04:20I think, of life and my feelings and the person that I am.

04:33I always knew that my debut in Hollywood would be a very strong character.

04:44I trained for two months in India before I left to film.

04:48But that was also to just get my body to be able to do all of these stunts.

04:52And I've always been physically very fit, but I just wanted to push it a little more.

05:18Why would anyone hesitate?

05:45I love my work.

05:51In the last 10 years, the work that I do, I've learnt a lot and I've enjoyed my work.

06:02And I hope that I just keep enjoying the work that I do.
