00:19So I see that. I'm like, I feel like I got both of mine.

00:22Yeah. Well, to be honest, we didn't have the budgets for the original.

00:26So this is all we got.

00:28I guess you could say the budget was out of hand.

00:37You are now the star of the upcoming series, Miss Marvel.

00:40Firstly, congratulations.

00:42Secondly, how did you end up bagging this role?

00:46Coincidence. Pure manifestation and fate.

00:50That is really what happened.

00:51It was it all happened through a WhatsApp forward.

00:54I was a huge Marvel nerd.

00:56I read all the Miss Marvel comics when I was in high school.

00:59I cosplayed as her.

01:00I was obsessed with this character.

01:02And this casting call just got forwarded to my aunt.

01:04And she forwarded it to me.

01:06And I actually did it.

01:07And it turned out to be real and not a scam.

01:11And here we are months later.

01:13And I'm a part of this incredible thing.

01:16Love it.

01:17It's really rare to see South Asian Marvel superheroes.

01:21You being Miss Marvel, how does it feel to be leading this franchise?

01:25Feels great.

01:26I'm a superhero.

01:28That's true.

01:29South Asian fans are sort of really weird when it comes to reacting to big news.

01:34How did your fans take it when you're like,

01:36Hey, guys, I'm going to be Miss Marvel.

01:38They were more excited than I was.

01:40I kind of went into complete shock for like a solid year.

01:45And they were excited for me because my entire life,

01:48Marvel was like the only thing I ever talked about.

01:50And they know how passionate I was about this

01:53and how much time and energy I spent towards the Marvel fandom.

01:57And so seeing their daughter after the Marvel flip logo

02:02is just the most surreal full circle moment for all of us.

02:07And you have a lot of Indian fans.

02:09You have an army of Indian fans here.

02:14Tell us a few things you love about India.

02:17I've never been.

02:17I want to go.

02:18I do love the food, I must say.

02:21You can't go wrong with any Indian food.

02:24Are there any superpowers that your character has that maybe you'd want in your real life?

02:28That's a pickle.

02:31I am a very lazy person,

02:33so I do kind of envy Kamala's ability to just stretch out and grab things.

02:38I think that would come in handy a lot.

02:40Lastly, I just want to say I've seen the first two episodes.

02:43It's incredible.

02:44The visuals, the animations.

02:46I'm so excited.
