Woman sends cyber stalker to jail

A man threatened to sexually abuse this lawyer. She made sure he landed in jail for his social media comments.

00:00I was continuously getting really abusive messages and rape threats.

00:06He's a habitual offender and I'm here to share my story that how I put my stalker in jail.

00:16There is no polite way to deal with stalkers.

00:30It started in February 2022. I was continuously getting really abusive messages and rape threats.

00:41So I decided to file a complaint and I did. So this person also sent me the pictures of genitals.

00:47I went to cyber police station. Why cyber police station?

00:51Because cyber cell specifically deals with all the crimes committed through electronic media.

00:57If you do not have access to any of the cyber cells then you can also file a complaint at

01:02local police station under section 154 of the criminal procedure code.

01:10Remember a police officer cannot refuse to file the complaint. If they do so,

01:15you can make the written complaint in the court

01:17and court will direct the police officer to start the investigation process.

01:27They said we have arrested him and you come to the police station.

01:38So I went there and after talking to him and his parents,

01:41I realized he's a habitual offender and I should not give him a chance.

01:46So I decided I will continue with the case and I registered an FIR against him.

01:51FIR was registered under 5 sections, section 506, section 509, section 204,

01:58section 354D of the Indian Penal Code and section 67 of the IT Act.

02:04If any person is sending you obscene material or unsolicited pictures,

02:09which is very common by the way,

02:11then you can file a complaint against that person under this section

02:14and that person will be criminally liable to punishment.

02:21So when this person's phone was taken, he formatted his phone before his arrest.

02:33And let me tell you one thing,

02:35if you think you will delete everything from the phone and you will get away with it,

02:39then this is a big misunderstanding because everything can be retrieved in the phone.

02:44WhatsApp chats, calls, emails, everything can be retrieved.

02:47I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared.

02:50But all the police officers were so nice, they helped me throughout the case.
