00:04A true coming-of-age story for a young woman.

00:06I mean, I've tasted moments that feel like me.

00:09I've tasted moments where I feel reflected,

00:13and they're usually smaller films that nobody else has seen

00:16or things that are just not on the forefront of the conversation.

00:22It's easy to throw walls up, and it's funny when you realize that,

00:25like, in protecting yourself, you're doing the opposite.

00:27It's like it's so much better to just sort of be.

00:40I think we're a lot alike, anyway, like, in real life.

00:43And then, you know, while shooting, it was easy

00:45because I could really, really relate to her.

00:48And we just had a really great chemistry going,

00:50and it was really comfortable.

00:52Kristen Stewart's my daughter.

00:54You know, mariachi is the word that comes to mind

00:57when I think of Kristen Stewart.

00:58We had a birthday party.

01:03and panic room.

01:06And we had a mariachi band at a taco bar.

01:08So that makes me think of Kristen Stewart.

04:45So important to read everything, watch everything,

04:49part every idiosyncrasy, every little nuanced, um,

04:54way that she communicates and inhabits her body.
