00:05A girl from Barranquilla, Colombia, who starts in a market where there was no real support for national talent,

00:58I think it was a passive way of bullying, but I got over all of that.

01:07and I understood that I didn't have to change anything to please them.

01:11My father and my mother helped me a lot in that.

01:14They taught me to value my voice, to value my talent.

01:19In the end, I kept my degree, and that somehow became my signature.

01:23As a girl, as a teenager, I was full of insecurities,

01:26and my parents were the people who reaffirmed and validated me.

01:31And thanks to them, I was able to move forward.

01:34I hate fittings, I hate fitting tests.

01:37If it were up to me, I would do all of my artistic activities in uniform.

01:41If I could, for me, clothing is a necessary evil.

01:49Usually, I'm the one who makes up my own choreographies, but no, because no one can beat me.

01:55Obviously, there are a lot of dancers and choreographers who are much better than me,

02:00but I simply like to create them myself, because I feel the music more in my body,

02:06more integrated, the movements, when they are my own,

02:10they are much easier for me to learn.

02:14It's a little hard for me to learn choreographies from others,

02:16but I have done it, there are many times when I have worked with choreographers,

02:22but in general, we always end up collaborating,

02:24we always end up doing a collaboration.

02:27And I always end up involved in all the details.

02:33Ah, lie! I love Colombian food!

02:35Colombian food, for me, is my favorite,

02:39because, of course, especially if I'm not in my country for so long,

02:43when I'm out and someone offers me a Colombian dish, it's a piece of heaven,
