00:00When a black woman dies, when a black woman is murdered, you don't hear about it.

00:08When a white woman dies, or a white woman is murdered, it's the front page.

00:15There's rallies, there's documentaries.

00:20But when it's a black woman, you don't want to know about it.

00:24So you all need to put a mirror up to yourselves and ask yourselves why you are not reporting

00:31on black women who've been murdered and missing, and children.

00:37Why aren't we reporting on these deaths, on these murders?

00:45We have to have an inquiry to call you all out, including the police,

00:51including all the racist systems that keep us oppressed in this country, including the media.

01:00We have an inquiry where Aboriginal people will be able to speak in language,

01:08use art forms, use poetry, use song and use dance to tell their story.

01:18We have Aboriginal people across this country who are ready to tell their story.

01:23We have a list of missing and murdered black women and children.

01:28You don't have that list.

01:30And that list, since we came out with this inquiry, has grown, and it's growing every day.

01:38So it's time this country starts looking at the real issues in this country,

01:46like black lives.

01:49Because black lives matter, they do.

01:53And we need you all to commit to reporting on every black death in custody,

02:02every murdered black woman and every missing black child.

02:08In WA we know they've even stopped looking for black children

02:15because it's too hard for the police.

02:19Does the country know that?

02:21Because when there's a white kid that goes missing, the heart of this country comes out.

02:29But when it comes to a black life, no one cares.

02:34And that has to stop, because black lives matter.
