Lizzo sued by 3 former dancers

Lizzo has been accused of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment by three of her former dancers.

00:05and fostering a hostile work environment.

00:07Ariana Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noel Rodriguez filed a lawsuit against Lizzo, her production

00:12company, and a member of her dance team through a California Superior Court on Tuesday.

00:17The suit alleges that Lizzo overworked her dancers by making them re-audition in an excruciating

00:2212-hour rehearsal.

00:23Those Lizzo were dissatisfied with were allegedly fired and sent home.

00:27The plaintiffs also allege that during a night out at a nude club in Amsterdam, Lizzo pressured

00:31her dancers to touch one of the nude performers.

00:34While in Paris, Lizzo also allegedly invited her dancers to a club to quote, learn something

00:38or be inspired by the performance, but failed to mention that it was a nude cabaret bar,

00:43the lawsuit claims.

00:44They also accuse Lizzo of making a thinly veiled comment that called attention to one

00:48dancer's weight gain and subsequently questioning her commitment to the job.

00:51The suit also accuses the captain of Lizzo's dance team, Shirlene Quigley, of trying to

00:56convert the dancers to her religion, scolding the dancers for having premarital sex, and

01:00unwarrantly discussing sexual fantasies with the group.

01:03The lawyer of the three dancers said quote, the stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management

01:07team treated the performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while

01:11privately she weight shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal

01:16but absolutely demoralizing.
