Tupac receives Hollywood Walk of Fame star

More than 25 years after his death, Tupac Shakur received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

00:09Shakur's sister accepted the honor on his behalf, saying she was honored to be representing

00:15Tupac knew deep down that he was always meant for something great, and as his little sister

00:21I had the privilege to watch that greatness unfold.

00:25She was also presented with a resolution from the Los Angeles City Council that declared

00:29June 7th as Tupac Shakur Day.

00:31Shakur was shot in Las Vegas on September 7th, 1996, at the age of 25.

00:36He died six days later.

00:38From the first time he stepped foot on the stage of the Apollo Theater at 13 years old,

00:46before anyone recognized his name, he knew he had the dream to have a star here on the

00:53Walk of Fame.
