00:12The statue popped up in New York City's Central Park,

00:14but let's zoom out.

00:16It was placed in the middle of a playground.

00:19Since it appeared, several children have been spotted playing with it.

00:23Weird, maybe, but it was on purpose.

00:26French street artist James Colomina

00:28explained his installation in an Instagram post saying,

00:31This sculpture aims at denouncing the absurdity of war

00:34and at highlighting children's courage

00:36when faced with violent, catastrophic situations triggered by others.

00:40Colomina is known for using these red statues

00:43and placing them seemingly unannounced.

00:45And this particular statue has also been seen in Paris.
