Was Andrew Tate actually arrested because of pizza boxes?

00:00Andrew Tate was detained by police in Romania and theories emerged that a pizza box contributed to his arrest.
00:05This started when the controversial internet personality created a video response to a tweet by climate activist Greta Thunberg.
00:11In the clip, Tate was given pizza boxes and told a person off-screen to make sure they didn't get recycled.
00:17A few days later, Tate was detained by Romanian authorities in Bucharest as part of a human trafficking and rape investigation.
00:23Romanian news site Gandal reported that authorities watched Tate's social media posts for proof he was in Romania
00:28and the pizza boxes from a local Romanian chain proved that.
00:31Tate also posted a video of scenery on December 25th, captioned Romania.
00:35It isn't definite that the pizza boxes played a part in Tate's arrest, but the theory quickly gained traction online.
00:40The pizza box arrest theory was even acknowledged by Thunberg, who indirectly tweeted, quote,
00:45This is what happens when you don't recycle your pizza boxes.
