00:05start from george russell charles leclerc is wheel-to-wheel with pierre gasly russell goes

00:10into turn one in the lead swooping down the inside here comes charles leclerc leclerc has

00:15got past the alpine leclerc's got past carlos sainz and he is in the second place going wide

00:21there was oscar piastri lando norris follows max verstappen george russell leads them away

00:27through turn 11 you're saving too much here comes charles leclerc neck and neck with george russell

00:34can't get past him but verstappen can get past pierre gasly and he moves up into fourth place

00:39puts the car between himself and lando norris and there might be a bag stuck on that mercedes

00:44of george russell he's certainly struggling here with leclerc who almost managed to get past him

00:48going around the final corner into turn one we go now russell's got that inside line they almost

00:54come together he almost gets pushed off the track charles leclerc and stays in second place let's

00:59have a look at the start here one thing charles leclerc likes is an inside line into a tight

01:03first corner and watch him come from fourth in the second and a great launch from george russell

01:08yeah i think science got wide was busy looking at gasly and his teammate leclerc shot through

01:13instead the young monogasc there beautifully placed on the inside of turn one as you say

01:18saw lando norris and max verstappen coming perilously close which you pointed out at the

01:23time martin we might go back to that in a moment but this is how charles leclerc moved from fourth

01:28to second this is a textbook start for all you young racers out there get inside you're out of

01:34trouble then and pick up the throttle oh yeah back end complaining a bit left a bit of space on the

01:40inside yeah this is going to be tight i think with lando norris on the inside so max gets a good start

01:48and then very cautious very sensible and that then is where you can see lando norris up the

01:54inside there but verstappen then has the inside line for turn three which becomes turn four at a

02:02point where you can't really tell and there's no track limits on the exit of turn four either

02:08that got taken away yuki sonoda who fancies his chances for a red bull seat for next season got

02:13perilously close to the rear of max verstappen uh going into uh turn one and that was the view

02:19from lewis hamilton's ferraris we see the live action george russell pulling ahead

02:24of charles leclerc and that bag that might have got stuck on the mercedes we think

02:29has been cleared away moving the straight line when i was drifting you know he was reacting

02:37and the stewards said no further action but leclerc has dropped back behind his teammate

02:42carlos sainz here and leclerc might be in a bit of trouble here comes max verstappen

02:46down the las vegas boulevard 1.9 kilometers a full blast full throttle and that is more than

02:52enough for verstappen to move up into the podium places as hamilton at the same time gets past oscar

02:58piastri ferrari are going to bring the other contenders carlos sainz in for a pit stop too

03:04which will be leave max verstappen moving up in a second and george russell still about eight seconds

03:09down in front but you know what verstappen might be second even before carlos sainz comes into the

03:13pit that red bull certainly better on his tires on these medium tires in the opening stages of

03:19this race it's taking a while but he's got plenty of straight line track to do it max verstappen

03:24moves into second hamilton moves into fourth and gets past pierre gasly he's extremely worried and

03:30that is not a pit limiter that's gone wrong that is an engine that's gone wrong for pierre gasly

03:36you can see the smoke but fortunately for him and i think for this race as well martin

03:41he can come into the pits because he was close enough to it otherwise that might have been a

03:44safety car and surely that's good night thank you unfortunately for pierre gasly after a stunning

03:50qualifying performance that is going to be a gremlin deep inside there and with that amount

03:57of smoke coming out

04:01on board now with charles leclerc sergio perez is the car in front of him

04:06perez they need to bring him in martin he's he's just not competitive out there with the

04:12grip that he's not getting at the moment it's down the inside go charles leclerc and up into

04:16four yet to pit sergio perez uh he's certainly been passed and he's going to get passed again

04:22here by lewis hamilton down the las vegas boulevard they go 15 000 miles of neon tubing

04:30illuminating the skyline here as lewis hamilton lights up the track with another pass of lando

04:35norris gets past perez too what are we looking at here we're looking at staff and having a lap

04:40time deleted he went straight on there turned seven uh which isn't necessarily going to ruin

04:46his race but just shows uh the lack of grip that he had in his tires at the time it lost a second

04:53with that move across the runoff area as sergio perez makes another move up in the ninth place

04:59and passed joe guangyu and this is carlos sainz yeah that's a slam dunk i'm afraid so

05:07yeah that that's sort of one of the fundamental rules and finally he does come into the pits

05:16wake up guys come on

05:21you're not ready well that's honesty but that's not what you want to hear as a driver isn't it

05:25weren't ready for you how many laps have you been saying i want to come in surely they've

05:30been on tenterhooks and primed and ready for it to appear and he's just homing in on the back of

05:36that red bull this is looking sweet max they're messing around stays on his part of the racetrack

05:43not his fight tonight an easy move for that for lewis hamilton and away he goes i don't wish a

05:50penalty on him at all there goes sergio perez down the inside three into one corner doesn't normally

05:58go it did this time thank you sergio perez that was absolutely magnificent this time last year

06:05perez was the car in front charles leclerc was the car behind and leclerc did this it got to a point

06:11it got to a point where sergio had to do the double overtake there was no backing out of that

06:17but beautifully done well done this is what it looked like from the rear wing of liam lawson

06:22who's like whoa what's going on here breathe in lads i fully expected one of those cars to go up

06:28in the air that was on the right hand side towards the mgm grand they go the famous hotels of the las

06:34vegas boulevard and looking to book his place into a new room goes carlos sainz and that room

06:41is p3 on the road in the vegas grand prix he came out wanted to pit but came out a different place

06:46is his teammate charles leclerc he's going to go down the outside and the inside on max verstappen

06:51he goes down the inside he makes the place on max verstappen ferrari run three and four max

06:57verstappen down to fifth still good enough to win the world championships lewis hamilton the battles

07:03have been going on behind the race leader throughout the night russell has really had this

07:09in control from start to finish and beautiful control from charles leclerc to slide his way

07:14down the inside keep it together for four championships four championships await for him

07:20another victory awaits for george russell it is victory in vegas for george russell he wins the

07:28vegas grand prix it's a one two four mercedes lewis hamilton from tenth on the grid comes home

07:35to finish second carlos sainz finishes on the podium ahead of charles leclerc and that man

07:41has hit the jackpot in vegas tonight max verstappen a four-time champion of the world

07:49that is four in a row max four in a row congratulations max verstappen you are a

07:56four-time world champion that is a phenomenal phenomenal achievement you can be incredibly

08:02proud of yourself as uh as we are amazing well done oh my god man what a season four times
