A Gym in Alton is pumped up as it opens its door to its first guests. PureGym has now opened its doors to the public after 10 weeks of hard work fitting the unit in Mill Lane, Alton. The gym was opened by general manager Dale Hooper alongside Alton Mayor Cllr Annette Eyre and Alton Lions Chairman John Mill in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor of Alton Annette Eyre said: “It is an amazing building with lots of activities, and I have no excuse now not to come down and exercise.” Before the opening, the new opening manager at PureGym Jason Creed gathered the staff around to thank them for their efforts and congratulate them on becoming the 394th venue in the country. The staff enjoyed a non-alcoholic toast and a card from PureGym before the ribbon-cutting ceremony as a special thank you to Dale and his staff for their hard work. Promptly at 12pm eager to enter, crowds gathered outside the venue waiting to both get stuck in to a workout and tour the new facility. Within of it opening minutes the weights were being put to use and treadmills were up and running. Also in attendance were various local businesses such as Skin Wrkout, Real Beauty with Robyn and many more with exclusive offers for new PureGym customers. Dale Hooper said: “We are very excited we have lots of business here to showcase what they do as well and we can’t wait to meet you all.” PureGym is offering a special offer of £18.99 per month for the first 6 months + £15 joining fee for a core membership to celebrate the new opening of the gym.
