00:45Vice President Sara Duterte spends the night at the House of Representatives as she visited

00:49her detained chief of staff Zulaika Lopez.

00:52Duterte initially requested that she be allowed to accompany Lopez in detention, citing humanitarian

00:57reasons including Lopez's chronic back problem and lack of sleep due to safety concerns.

01:03Duterte arrived at the House at around 7.40 p.m. Thursday night, beyond visiting hours.

01:08The visit ended at around 10 p.m., so she decided to spend the night at the office of

01:11her brother, Davao Rep. Paulo Duterte.

01:15On Wednesday, November 20, the House Committee on Good Government cited Lopez in contempt

01:19and ordered her detention due to her undue interference in proceedings.

01:24Lopez had sent a letter to the Commission on Audit blocking the release of a confidential

01:27funds report to lawmakers.

01:29House Secretary General Reginald Velasco says, if Lopez appears at the Monday hearing and

01:34tells the truth, the contempt order will be lifted and she can go home.

01:38The panel is investigating Duterte's alleged misuse of funds allocated to the Office of

01:42the Vice President and the Department of Education.

01:48A Pasig City court allows the extension of the medical furlough of alleged trafficker

01:52Apollo Quibuloy.

01:53A medical furlough allows a detained individual to temporarily leave detention facilities

01:57for medical reasons.

01:59Quibuloy asked for a medical furlough due to an alleged infected dental implant.

02:04His lawyer, Israelito Torreon, says he cannot disclose details yet.

02:08Before the medical furlough, Quibuloy sought house or hospital arrest in October, but the

02:12Pasig City court junked his request.

02:14Apart from undergoing trial for trafficking, the founder of the Davao-based Kingdom of

02:18Jesus Christ also faces separate cases of sexual abuse in a Quezon City court.

02:23He is also wanted in the United States for a slew of charges, including sexual trafficking.

02:30The International Criminal Court issues arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin

02:34Netanyahu and his former defense chief Yoav Galant, as well as Hamas leader Ibrahim al-Masri,

02:40for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza conflict.

02:44The ICC judges say they were reasonable grounds to believe Netanyahu and Yoav Galant were

02:49criminally responsible for acts including murder, persecution, and starvation as a weapon

02:54of war.

02:55It adds, it's a widespread and systemic attack against the civilian population of Gaza.

03:01The warrant for Masri lists charges of mass killings during the October 7, 2023 attacks

03:06on Israel that triggered the Gaza War, and also charges of rape and the taking of hostages.

03:11The decision was met with outrage in Israel, while Gaza residents expressed hope it would

03:15help end the violence.

03:17A Hamas senior official says it was a first step towards justice.

03:21The United States, Israel's main supporter and not a member of the ICC, said it fundamentally

03:26rejects the move.

03:28The EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, says the decision was made by a court and

03:32is not political and should be respected and implemented.

03:38Russia launched an intercontinental ballistic missile attack on Ukraine on Thursday, November

03:4221.

03:44It is the first known use in the war of a weapon designed to deliver nuclear strikes

03:48thousands of kilometers away, but there was no suggestion this one was nuclear-armed.

03:53This after Ukraine fired US and British missiles at targets inside Russia this week, despite

03:58warnings by Moscow that this would be seen as a major escalation.

04:02But Washington says Russia's deployment of North Korean ground troops is already an

04:06escalation.

04:07The missile attack reportedly caused damage to an industrial enterprise and set off fires

04:12in Dnipro.

04:13Ukraine fired US Atacams missiles into Russia on Tuesday after US President Joe Biden gave

04:20On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin lowered the threshold for a nuclear

04:23strike to include a broader range of conventional attacks.
