A lucky mum has won a stunning country home worth £500K - near her family in Powys. Sarah Perry, 49, is now the proud owner of a contemporary three-bedroom, two bathroom home in Powys. Her plush property is located near where her family still live - and she found out she'd won on the way to visit them. 00:00I'm not sure.

00:13When I first got that call from Amaze, I was very dubious.

00:16But I was intrigued when they said I'd won something, so I was willing to find out.

00:20I mean, I didn't even know she'd entered.

00:22I was born and grew up in mid Wales.

00:24Winning this house and returning to my roots is just a dream come true.

00:28Funnily enough, I was supposed to be going to Wales that evening

00:31to go and stay with my sister for the weekend.

00:33But now she can come and stay with us.

00:35We've got a bottle of Welsh whiskey we were going to crack into.

00:37It seemed appropriate.

00:38But then we remembered we hadn't even fed the kids by that time,

00:42so we went off for a steak instead.

00:44When we woke up and saw the snow this morning, we had to check the date.

00:47We thought it was already Christmas.

00:48That cosy fire, I mean, it's brilliant.

00:54The bedroom is so big.

00:56I've lived in smaller flats.

00:57Shall we put our feet up?

00:58Why not?

01:00Every window just frames a beautiful picture of Wales.

01:04So my brother-in-law's a farmer and he's already eyeing up the land for some sheep.

01:08We've won this amazing house, plus the 50 grand.

01:11So for now, we're definitely going to keep it and we want to enjoy it as a family.

01:16It's great that this house has been raising money for the Scouts.

01:18I volunteer with them.

01:19Our children have gone through the Scouts movement themselves

01:22and it's just an amazing charity.

01:24Christmas has definitely come early for our family this year.
