Puppy found burrowed in dirt to stay warm learns to open doors to be near her rescuer ❤️ Our producer Chelsi sent her a big box of toys so she'd have a surprise when she opens the door!

00:00There she is. In the dirt. Hey. It's nice and warm there darling. That's what barley dogs do, to keep warm.

00:09She was living in the street and was clearly suffering from a skin disease.

00:15So we're going to take you to the doctor.

00:17I noticed her on the street and that her skin was getting progressively worse, so I had to make the decision to step in.

00:26She was living with her family. I asked them if they needed medical treatment and they decided to surrender her on the spot.

00:33Okay Nona, ready for your first wash. I think it's probably the first bath you've ever had.

00:38When I first picked her up she just looked at me and was just wondering what is going on.

00:41She is hating it.

00:43The first thing we do is check out their skin.

00:45Okay, she's had a wash. I've had a wash because I'm all wet. You are very traumatic.

00:50And then we started her healing journey naturally.

00:54She was such a quirky little dog. She loved to sleep in random positions.

01:02I had Nona in foster care with me in my home for about three months.

01:05She had lots of sunshine, a lot of socialisation with my dogs.

01:09Nona, your nose is going to get you into trouble. Nona!

01:13She became a real little character.

01:15Ah, you're so clever.

01:20Her skin started to heal and the fur started to grow.

01:24Sit, it's just for you.

01:29Nona, stop opening the door.

01:31We have sliding doors which we thought were a great idea and she has managed to open every single door.

01:42We wanted to set up a surprise for her.

01:46So I hid in the toy room and I knew that she'd open the door.

01:55And I was sitting there with all her brand new toys and she went straight for the toys.

01:59She's so curious.

02:12The perfect family for Nona would definitely be people that would just let Nona be Nona.

02:17She's highly trainable. She's incredibly food motivated.

02:20So she's not always naughty. She can definitely be trained.

02:23She listens. She's on recall.

02:26Someone that would love her and enjoy her antics and enjoy her sense of humour.

02:33She loves other dogs. She loves playing.

02:39She's really an easy going dog.

02:55Good girl.
