After suffering a stroke in 2019 and being treated for Alzheimer's in a care home until his death. John Prescott has died.

00:00Former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has died aged 86.
00:04Lord Prescott was known for his working class mentality
00:08and also his outspoken attitude to politics.
00:12In 2019, Lord Prescott suffered a stroke
00:16and his family say that he then had Alzheimer's,
00:19which he's been dealing with in a care home
00:21where he also died.
00:24For 40 years, he served as an MP for Kingston-upon-Hull East,
00:29as well as being a key part of New Labour
00:33under Sir Tony Blair's guidance.
