00:27with the help of graduates from State Universities and Colleges.

00:31This was discussed in the 80th meeting of the Private Sector Advisory Council,

00:35the agriculture sector that was led by the President.

00:38According to him, the new agriculturists who are capable of seed production while the farmers

00:44will be able to produce these.

00:46In this way, the country's agricultural productivity will be strengthened.

00:51Especially, the farmers will have more time to grow their crops.

00:56According to the President, it is better for the SUCs to do research and development

01:01because they have the technical ability for seed production.

01:05He also gave the needs of the SUCs in the transition of seed production

01:09from the laboratories to the commercial level

01:12to ensure the availability of these in the market.

01:15The Executive Board is determined that this system will also help the SUCs in the country

01:21while ensuring that the government is ready to help them through contract farming.

01:26The Philippine and Japan International Cooperation Agency, or JAICA,

01:32will strengthen the assistance of the Philippine and Japan International Cooperation Agency

01:37in order to strengthen the early warning system of the country in the face of severe storms.

01:42This was discussed in a courtesy call to the President of JAICA, President Dr. Tanaka Akihiko,

01:46where he pointed out that despite the severe storms,

01:52He is also confident in the ability of the Japan and Philippines Cooperation Agency

02:02The Executive Board also emphasized the importance of new technologies in dealing with calamities,

02:12As part of the effort of the Philippines to strengthen disaster preparedness,

02:16the Presidential Communications Office of JAICA is cooperating

02:20with the Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting, or DTTV, system

02:24to digitize the PTV4.

02:27The project aims to establish an emergency warning broadcast system.
