People on the street: Subscription models

It can be incredibly hard to keep track of your money anyway, particularly with so many companies following a subscription model - so we hit the streets of Manchester to ask people if they manage to stay on top of all of their subscriptions.

00:00Hi I'm Theo and this is People on the Street. Today I'm out in Manchester asking

00:04people about subscriptions and that's because there are so many different

00:07things that run with a subscription model now from Netflix to Amazon Prime

00:10to things like HelloFresh and it can be really hard to keep a track of what

00:14you're paying for. Do you want to know how many subscriptions people have and if

00:17they can keep their eye on what their money's going towards. We usually get an

00:21email and cancel them before the free trial ends. Yeah it's really easy to lose

00:25track because there's just so many now. Subscriptions stack up so quickly. So I

00:31try and limit the amount of subscriptions that I'm subscribed to

00:35essentially and so mainly I'm just with Netflix and then if it's a game or

00:40something like that or you know Prime or something like that. I've got a couple of things that I just forget

00:48about so I see them and I'm like it's 20 quid out for the month, like where's that going?

00:53I see very different people. I know every single thing I'm subscribed to as soon as

00:57that money's going out my bank account I better know where it's gone.
