00:00Regarding the current status related to the introduction of a new generation card

00:04that will be approved by the government to replace the existing identity card,

00:09for information from the State Department,

00:12KDM through the State Registration Office is now in the final phase

00:16to finalize the approval for the introduction of a new structure card

00:21that will replace the existing identity card

00:24that has been issued to the Malaysian people since 2012.

00:29The replacement of this new structure card is intended to ensure

00:34that the card that will be issued by the State Registration Office

00:38to the Malaysian people has a high level of safety,

00:42safe and upgraded in line with the development of the current safety technology

00:48as well as to prevent any incidents and attempts to break in

00:54and to use the control card as an important control document,

00:59especially for Malaysia.

01:01The new generation control card will be equipped with more advanced safety features.

01:08It is made from polycarbonate material

01:13that has been tested,

01:15its durability has been tested,

01:18and it is equipped with a larger storage capacity safety chip

01:25with a higher level of safety and difficulty.

01:32This step is intended to solve the problem of data entry,

02:28JPN always conducts prevention and strengthening activities

02:50Throughout 2022 until October 31, 2024,

02:552,103 operations have been carried out by JPN all over the country,

03:00including 11,606 operations by JPN

03:06and 497 operations jointly by the JPN.

03:12JPN has detained a total of 519 individuals

03:17who committed a crime under the National Registration Regulation 1990.

03:22From that number, a total of 190 individuals have been charged

03:26with a crime under Regulation 25-1-E

03:29which consists of 130 individuals who have a LAPASU keycard

03:34and 60 individuals with other people's keycards.

03:37Because of that, we see that there is a need

03:41to develop more modern technology

03:45so that the issue of supermini can be handled better and more effectively.
