Tom Brady said Peyton Manning and him are only friends now that he is retired.

00:09that anger provided a lot of energy and action for me.

00:14I couldn't go out there thinking that I was going to play my best friend.

00:17I had to create an enemy.

00:18And did I, not an enemy that I wanted to do anything bad to,

00:21I just wanted to beat them up.

00:23And the only way I could do it was to score more points and to be in it.

00:28I didn't have one friend on another team.

00:30I really didn't.

00:31It's so bizarre to me when I see all these players that are buddies and

00:35they're, and I'm like, how is that possible?

00:37I hated that guy.

00:38It's like only now are Peyton Manning and I friends.

00:41And for so many years- Are you friends?

00:43Yeah, of course, now.

00:44But now that we can talk and we don't feel like we're sharing state secrets.

00:48But I obviously admired him and I respected him because of how phenomenal he was.

00:53But when I was on the field against him, man,

00:56there was nothing greater than a Sunday when we won and they lost.

00:59And it wasn't as fun if they won.
