A petition has been launched to get the City of Newcastle to upgrade Braye Park.

00:00We just started a local community petition to encourage Mayor Ross Carriage to consider

00:16revitalising Bray Park.

00:17It's a beautiful spot.

00:18Unfortunately it hasn't got the best reputation and we just think it would be a really, really

00:19beautiful green space if we actually put a bit of investment into it.

00:20Especially with the views at the top, if you've ever been up there, it's 360 degrees, and

00:32we just are really hopeful that it could become quite a unique place for a lot of Newcastle

00:45Community Members.

00:46We're just getting as many signatures as we can to try and encourage the local councillor

00:53to look into it.

00:54We'd like to see improved facilities for kids, for families, just general maintenance.

00:58I mean if you look around, there's already a lot of beautiful green space, it's just

01:02unkept.

01:03If the fight hospital does get involved, we'd love to also try and encourage access for

01:08disability access to the park as well.
