00:00Journey to Christmas Shire at King's Dock Liverpool this festive season.

00:06We've got three yurts that make up Christmas Shire which is right next to the wheel of

00:10Liverpool and so our audience are invited into the yurts to meet three different characters

00:15and the first year they'll meet Nutmeg.

00:18This is an interactive performance where you are part of the story.

00:23Christmas has become so commercial hasn't it?

00:25It's all about food, it's all about presents and we felt that it was really important to

00:30remember the true spirit of Christmas so spreading kindness, spreading generosity and sharing

00:36this with loved ones and so that's why we wanted to come down here and to encourage

00:42that with families and that goes for adults as well as children.

00:45In the heart of Christmas Shire the elves are bustling with preparations for the most

00:49magical day of the year.

00:50Father Christmas and his dedicated team of elves are working tirelessly to ensure everything

00:56is ready for the big day.

00:58All the letters must be read and catalogued, presents must be selected and wrapped and

01:02most important of all they must ensure the sleigh is in full working order ready for

01:09its journey around the world.

01:11But this year something unexpected has happened.

01:15The reserves of Christmas magic have dwindled.

01:18Inside the elf the beloved keeper of magic has discovered a mysterious leak and urgently

01:23needs your help to replenish the magic stores.

01:27We have weekdays for toddlers as in pre-schoolers so they're in the afternoon and then the evening

01:34performance during the week are actually for any age as are the weekends and we have relaxed

01:40performances as well so anybody that wants to come we adapt the performance so we lower

01:46the lights, the sound, children can come and go as they please.

01:50Christmas Shire is at Kings Dock next to the Wheel of Liverpool and runs right through

01:54the festive season until Sunday 22nd December.
