00:16So he's minus 330, Gente's plus 350, Cam Ward's 14, Gabriel's 25.

00:22Now Curtis Rourke's 30.

00:23You mentioned something to me and then I said, what's Rourke's number if somehow, someway

00:27Indiana beats Ohio State this week?

00:31What do you think the number is if he's been?

00:40Because if Travis Hunter could lose this week in Colorado, like, but the thing is he's

01:16football this year with what he does on both sides of the ball.

01:19But why are we now, out of nowhere, going away from the rules?

01:23Because like you said, let's say Colorado loses to Kansas this week.

01:27Let's say Colorado somehow loses their last game and don't make the Big 12 title game.

01:31Shouldn't he get docked the way that Cam Ward gets docked for when Miami lost last week?

01:38Or that Dylan Gabriel gets docked for Oregon not playing well and being 16-13, being Wisconsin?

01:44Because the quarterbacks, Cam, get docked if their team doesn't win and doesn't play

01:48well.

01:49It's just fact.

01:50And I've always said it shouldn't be that way.

01:53This is the best player in college football.

01:54That's what the award is.

01:56They've turned it into an MVP award.

01:58And if it is an MVP award, then it also has to matter for the guy who's not a quarterback.

02:03And if you're right, and I don't know if they're going to lose this week, but if they do, then

02:07you've got to dock them like you dock the quarterbacks.

03:06He's going to be back in the mix if that happens, because they have turned this into more than

03:10just the best player in college football, because it would be Hunter and Gente by a

03:14mile if it was just that.

03:17And that's why the quarterbacks of teams that win and win their conferences and make the

03:21playoffs get more juice than anyone else.

03:24And that's why Ward is still alive there, too.

03:31And they get punished more because I don't think it was Ward's fault that they lost to

03:53You have to apply it to them, too.

03:55You can't change the meaning of the award year by year to make.

03:59You have now made it an MVP award, not the best player in college football.

04:04And they're going to have to live like that moving forward.
