00:00When I first went to work in Miama as an Indian counselor, it was still a good place.

00:17It is not a place that any of the Cherokees wanted to go, and so I would imagine the longing

00:26was to be as near the land that was as close to what we might have left behind.

00:35I got there the year before Tar Creek turned orange.

00:41When they were mining, they left piles and piles of the waste rock behind.

00:47There's a million gallons of heavy metals coming down that creek every day.

00:53It's time for that to stop.

00:57There's a chance that Tar Creek and that place can start over.
