The late Tun Daim Zainuddin was laid to rest at the Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery in Kuala Lumpur at about 6.10pm on Wednesday (Nov 13).

00:22Daim's wife Toh Puan Naima Khalid and their children could not hold back their tears when

01:14Born in Kedah on April 29, 1938, Daim was the youngest of 13 siblings.
01:26He received his early education at the Serberang Perak Malay School and later attended Sultan
01:31Abdul Hamid College.
01:33The businessman-turned-politician was elected a Member of Parliament for five terms between
01:371982 and 2004.
01:40He served as Finance Minister twice from 1984 to 1991 and held the position again from
01:461999 to 2001.
01:49Earlier, Daim's remains were brought to his residence in Bukit Tunku before being taken
01:54to the Federal Territory Mosque for funeral prayer in the afternoon.
02:01Daim breathed his last at 86 on Wednesday while receiving treatment at Asunta Hospital
02:06in Petaling Jaya.
