00:00More than Corona, the drag queens have won and participated in a prestigious competition.

00:06In my interview, Maxie and Angel will tell you how they overcame the trials and the acceptance of their family.

00:15This is not just a show, but a fantasy created by the two queens of the Galang family, Maxie and Angel.

00:38From the high-class colorete to the fancy clothes, the siblings became the standard of being fabulous.

00:45Under their glamorous clothes as drag queens, the lines that were left by discrimination and stigma of the society were full.

00:54It's not a secret that there are still those who do not understand, there is discrimination, there is contempt.

01:02What are your personal experiences there?

01:04When we were kids, we were like gay kids, the group of street dancers.

01:11Every time we pass by, we were thrown garbage, diaper, and bottles.

01:16It was recess time, and I borrowed Yema from Mocha because she didn't like me as a classmate because I was gay.

01:24Instead of fighting, they chose to fight for themselves.

01:30Did you reach the point of fighting?

01:33Yes, we reached the point of fighting.

01:35We are gay, so we fight.

01:37We can't just be thrown garbage, we have to accept it.

01:41We have to fight back.

01:43If you want to fight, you have to open up.

01:47If outside the house, there are people who have given their self-confidence,

01:53inside their homes, they found the foundation of their resistance to fight for their rights.

01:59Growing up, I had a very good relationship with my parents.

02:03So we didn't come out.

02:05What's good about my father is that he has a gay and transgender sibling.

02:11And in our family, we have a lot of LGBTQ people.

02:15As long as Angel has self-confidence, she will accept and fight for herself with the help of her brother, Maxie.

02:22He's my motivation, he's my role model.

02:26Whatever happens to me, he advises me to face it.

02:29But you have to be calm.

02:31He's the one who tells me,

02:33Okay, I won't have a hard time to enter this path that I chose because he's there.

02:40With a strong heart that is guarded by the love of their parents,

02:44the siblings were more reluctant to let go of their sister

02:47when they both entered a prestigious drag competition.

02:51The siblings entered the top four

02:55Maxie even took Corona home as a drag superstar.

02:58For Maxie and Angel, more than Corona, they took home acceptance.

03:04It's not right to humiliate us.

03:08We are also the children of God.

03:10It's even better.

03:12We are not accepted because they lack education.

03:15So I hope they listen, I hope they become open-minded.

03:18I hope in the future, we will become normal people.
