00:00So Miami lost to Georgia Tech, are they still a playoff team?

00:08Yeah, because I think they're still going to win the league.

00:11Now, they may not be the home team in the conference championship game.

00:17SMU, of course, is undefeated in league play.

00:19But I still think Miami is the best team in that league.

00:22They play with fire a lot.

00:24Their offense really sputtered.

00:26Georgia Tech did a great job against that offense.

00:29And it wasn't up to its usual standard.

00:32And it needs to be because their defense is sketchy.

00:35So, you know, I don't know if Miami is a contender to win the college football playoff.

00:40But they're still, I think, the best team in the ACC.

00:44LSU and Georgia with huge losses on Saturday, are they out?

00:52Well, LSU is. That's three losses.

00:54And I don't think a three-loss team is getting into the college football playoff

00:57unless that third loss comes in a conference championship game.

01:01Then maybe you have a shot at 10-3.

01:039-3 is not going to get it done this year.

01:06But Georgia, that's only their second loss.

01:08So they've still got a shot.

01:10And it's funny because when I was projecting out all the results I need to do bowl projections,

01:15I ended up with Texas in first in the SEC and a six-way tie for second at 6-2,

01:22which Alabama emerged from.

01:24And I actually had to win the league because I don't really think that Texas is the best team in the league.

01:29I think it's either Georgia or Alabama.

01:31So anyways, but that league is a real pile.

01:34I mean, it's a pile of good teams.

01:37I don't know how many of them are completely elite teams.

01:40You certainly see signs of it from some of them.

01:43But this is a great league with great teams at the top.

01:46There's going to be at least four of them in the college football playoff.

01:50And Ole Miss would be one of them with that defense, right?

01:53Maybe.

01:55Boy, they abused.

01:57They just abused Georgia's offensive line.

02:01Yeah, I mean the defense has always been the thing that's been missing from Ole Miss.

02:06Lane Kiffin, they're going to score a lot of points.

02:09But now they've got a defense that can keep them in games when the offense isn't going

02:14or they're playing an opponent like Georgia where your offense probably isn't going to get going.

02:18And they have a defense now that can win games for them.

02:21We'll see if they get in.

02:23Their schedule's not that great.

02:25And for those teams in that pileup with one or two losses, two losses in particular,

02:31it could be strength of schedule that ends up separating some of these teams

02:34because you may not have a ton of head-to-head results

02:37or definitive head-to-head results that make the difference.
