00:00It is caught! Touchdown!
00:04The New England Patriots select Drake May.
00:08He's got the ball! And that's the ballgame!
00:12Welcome to Friday's edition of the All 32 Pod.
00:16Mike Giardi alongside Will Parkinson. Week 10 is upon us, and it started
00:20with an unbelievable game, which we're going to get to in just a second.
00:24As a reminder, as always, this show is brought to you by PrizePix, the exclusive Daily Fantasy partner
00:28of the CNLS Media Network. And game time, best tickets,
00:32best prices to get you into any event that you want to see.
00:36Will, I'm fired up because last night's game had so much happening for it.
00:40Baltimore wins 35-34. They improved to
00:447-3 on the year since he falls to 4-6, and it comes down to
00:48a last minute drive, a touchdown, and then Zach Taylor
00:52goes for two. We'll just start right there. Like the decision?
00:56Yeah, I like the decision because you just gotta look
01:00at it. Ravens in the second half. The Ravens, basically
01:04after it was 21-7, they punted with 4-11 remaining
01:08in the third quarter. It was
01:1221-7, I believe. After that, touchdown, touchdown,
01:16touchdown, touchdown. They weren't stopping a
01:20nosebleed, and they've done a good job this year at points with stopping the Ravens.
01:24I think this was very similar to the first game as well.
01:28The Bengals' defense has been the issue all year. Remember the Commanders' game, one that stands out
01:32probably the most, where I don't think the Bengals punted the entire game, whatever it was, and they still
01:36lose at home. The Ravens game, obviously, put up
01:4040. We've been through this road with the Bengals before, so
01:44they're going for it all night. Early on in the game, they ran a tight end
01:48QB sneak on their own 30-yard line in the first quarter or early second.
01:52I like the decision for a couple reasons. Very similar to what I felt
01:56with Tampa Bay and Kansas City on
02:00Monday night. It's not that I don't think these defenses could have gotten a stop.
02:04Again, it sucks. Both teams will end up losing.
02:08One won for two, one didn't, so it's whoever supported which decision.
02:12The Bengals got shafted on the two-point conversion heavily by the Refs.
02:16In a lot of ways, what they wanted to do worked.
02:20They would have gotten to redo it again.
02:24If you knew you weren't going to get a stop there,
02:28go down swinging with your quarterback who's the best, if not the second-best player
02:32in the field. Mike, to me, I think
02:36we've done a lot of this. Sometimes I think teams are so
02:40overly aggressive. It's like baseball. It's like, who's still uber-analytical, and then there's teams that
02:44aren't. The Bengals are very much, we've seen the Ravens
02:48do this. The Ravens have lost games under John Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson. I believe the Steelers
02:52game two or three years ago where they missed on a two-point conversion in Pittsburgh.
02:56The Bengals' season is kind of on the line here. Do you want to have it
03:00on the line with your defense on the field against the guy who's playing as good a football as anybody in the league?
03:04Or do you want to have the other guy who's probably playing better quarterback than anybody in the league
03:08with a shot on for the two-yard line?
03:12I don't think that all things are equal. The Bucs shouldn't have called a timeout.
03:16They should have gone for two. The Bengals, I thought, did
03:20what was best for this Cincinnati Bengals team. This is not the Bengals' defense
03:24of two, three, four years ago. We've talked about it ad nauseum.
03:28Mike, to me, you give up four straight touchdowns, I'm not trusting you
03:32to go give up three against the kicker at home who, while he's not the same
03:36guy, could still knock it in from 60-plus. Bengals made the right call.
03:40What an absolute blast of a game to watch last night.
03:44I think I tweeted at the time,
03:48right decision, obviously wrong result.
03:52It's the same thing. You get pushback from all sides. You take the points there,
03:56but to your point, they just couldn't stop them. It's been a huge issue for them all year long.
04:00As much as I love Louie Annarumo, this is now year two of their defense
04:04going in the wrong direction. I thought he should have been
04:08a head coach two years ago after the kind of run they had had.
04:12The erosion of talent.
04:16Yeah, exactly. But other than Trey Hendrickson up front, they get no pressure.
04:20The corners are meh. They brought Geno Stone in.
04:24Geno Stone has the brain fart on the long touchdown to
04:28Wallace down the sideline. They have just had a lot of those things this year
04:32where A, they're not good enough and they're not on their details
04:36on the field. I think, to that point, Joe Burrow
04:40had 428 yards, four touchdown passes, no interceptions.
04:44Yeah, we're going to take our chance. He's our best player. You can't cover Chase.
04:48Actually, you know what was the interesting part to me is, and this would be my one second guess,
04:52is when they ran the play and they took it down
04:56to the wire and then they called the timeout on the two-point conversion,
05:00recessed, came back out. When they were running the play to see what
05:04Baltimore was doing, they had Jamar Chase one-on-one on the
05:08side, no safety help. Based on the performance that
05:12he had and the way he was eating on those guys, I'm going to take my shot that Joe's going to
05:16put it in the right place and Jamar's going to go get it. He calls the timeout,
05:20whatever. To your point, the referees, not only did they miss the Gusecki getting absolutely
05:24mugged at the goal line, blatant like he's tackled, but then for the second
05:28time, I believe in the drive, Burrow takes a shot to the face mask.
05:32I'm not one of these guys that believes quarterbacks shouldn't be hit, but that's the
05:36rule. We saw it with Sam Darnold a couple weeks ago, the blatant face mask.
05:40No one wants more flags, but if those are the rules, you've got to be consistent.
05:44Joe the superstar, I'm shocked he doesn't get that call.
05:48I'm fine if you swallow the ticky-tack hold call, the defensive hold or whatever,
05:52legal contact or those sorts of things in those moments, but when we're talking about
05:56something that's that blatant where the hand goes right to the face, head
06:00gets twisted, helmet came up, dude, that's a blow to the freaking head.
06:04What are we doing? And I give Al Michaels credit, who he gives absolutely
06:08no bleeps anymore, but he's just like, too many games like this this year.
06:12Too many times that we watched an excellent football game,
06:16two quarterbacks playing at elite levels, Jamar Chase going nuts, and at
06:20the end of it, we're still left with, but the refs factored themselves
06:24into the game in a way you just don't want. That shouldn't be what we're talking about today,
06:28but it has to be because that's part of the story last night, so very disappointing.
06:32Mike, I have a question for you on your ratings.
06:36We know the Bengals are at best probably going to be the 7th seed at this point. Maybe they're the 6th
06:40if they're able to beat Pittsburgh twice, and they're not dead by any means, but
06:44this three-week stretch is tough. I believe they have the
06:48chargers at the Chargers, Steelers at Cowboys, at Titans,
06:52Browns, Broncos, at Steelers to end the year.
06:56They're 0-5 in games decided by six points or fewer. Feels like of those
07:00seven games, there's four or five that should be wins.
07:04Should be. You can't just guarantee it in the league,
07:08but it almost feels like they've got to win six or seven probably to get in.
07:12Yeah, I think if they've got to get to 9-8 to have
07:16a shot, but they're going to have to beat Denver and they're probably going to have to beat Pittsburgh
07:20at least once, if not twice. My question is more about
07:24I think, look, you're going to pay Jamar Chase going forward. You're going to have
07:28your offense shaped around Chase and Burrow for the next five, six years.
07:32You're going to have to add supplemental pieces. I don't really worry about the Bengals long-term.
07:36I do think that there's some, I mentioned maybe
07:40trading off some guys. I know they didn't go that route because they got hot a little bit
07:44and there's no shame in that. I think you could have traded
07:48Tee Higgins a couple weeks ago or this offseason. He's a guy that's not getting any healthier and
07:52someone else's problem would have been paying him 25 even though he's a really good player.
07:56Again, I don't worry too much about them. They have the coaching staff and foundation.
08:00They've seen them work. Next year, we've seen this a million times. They had both the Vikings
08:04three years ago and the two. Maybe it happens with the Jets. These other teams, when you're
08:08terrible in one score games, it usually flips and comes back to the meat.
08:12My question's about the Ravens because Jamar's playing at an
08:16unbelievable pace. I'm sure we'll get three MVPs
08:20before three playoff wins tweet. It'll happen. Jamar's playing
08:24unbelievable. The offense is really hard to stop. Munkun's calling awesome
08:28stuff. Derrick Henry's much better than I actually. I thought he'd be a big stats, not
08:32great film guy. He's been both. Credit to him.
08:36Kyle Hamilton's not hurt. His defense already sucks.
08:40I don't think I'm being
08:44harsh enough. They're horrible on defense. Yes,
08:48run defense, Brokawan's a madman. They're able to
08:52stop him. I also think part of the reason they're so good on run defense
08:56is a lot of ways the Jets were
09:00first or second in pass defense. Yes, they're good, but teams are just
09:04running the ball the whole time or teams are just throwing the ball the whole time. Last night,
09:08Burrow threw the ball what? 56 times? Yep. Who needs to run the
09:12ball if you're going to throw for 404 tutties?
09:16Their goal is playoffs.
09:20They can't really add much now.
09:24Deontay Johnson trade.
09:28When I saw Baltimore made a trade, I'm like, they added a pass rusher or
09:32some secondary help. They need it. No, it's Deontay Johnson. I get it.
09:36You're doubling down on the strength, but you're secondary.
09:40You're 32nd in pass defense. It's not getting any better. It just got worse.
09:44The numbers just got worse based on this performance. Marlon Humphrey,
09:48who is still a damn good player. Maybe not what he was two or three years
09:52ago because of the injuries and whatnot, but still really good. Quote last night,
09:56I don't think playing like this we can go very far. I think he's dead right.
10:00I don't know how they fix it at this point in the middle of November.
10:04Again, at 7-3, I guess they have a little leeway here in terms of
10:08barring an unbelievable collapse, they're going to be in the postseason.
10:12Zach Orr, there was a shot of
10:16he's losing his mind up in the press box.
10:20They're not very well connected in the back, and you see it over
10:24and over again. I think I brought this up. Mike McDonald had those guys
10:28playing last year so well that they were able to pass off routes
10:32seamlessly, and the guys were on it. It just seems
10:36like there was a crossing pattern to Jamar Chase where you see Roquan pointing to it.
10:40The other linebacker doesn't take a piece of him, so now Roquan is stuck
10:44in between. I've got to keep my eyes on Lamar, but now I've got Jamar
10:48crossing my face. Obviously, he runs well, but he doesn't run as well as Jamar Chase.
10:52Next thing you know, it's a 20-yard play down the sideline, and he's
10:56screaming and yelling. I get it. Dude, we're not good enough
11:00to miss the small details. When you've got a guy crossing your face like that, you've got to
11:04take a piece of him. You've got to slow him down. They're not doing that.
11:08Whether it's a disconnect, whether there's
11:12some of the youth in the secondary, Wiggins obviously the first-round pick. It's a lot of playing time.
11:16Whatever it may be, I thought it would have gotten better,
11:20and it's not getting better. I wonder now,
11:24is this what you're just going to have to live with and hope your offense wins you 38-35
11:28games in the postseason, which I think we know is kind of hard to do. Yeah, a couple things.
11:32One, and we'll finish up on this game here, they're giving them 300 yards a game
11:36through the air. We're not talking about a league
11:40that throws the football well right now. The Ravens have not played the Bengals
11:4410 times. This is games against the Raiders and the
11:48Browns. You have 73 yards a game, but again, 300 yards
11:52through the air, which in some ways is more devastating because
11:56it's all explosives. That's the big problem. You look at a lot of the
12:00Niners, the Jets, those type of defenses, the Seahawks. Not this year, but
12:04that Seahawks cover three, no explosives, let the teams make mistakes.
12:08This is the opposite. They're getting up 25 plus a game, and
12:12just in context, not the total yards really means anything anymore
12:16in terms of just total defense
12:20and stuff. We know those metrics. DVOA and those things are a little bit more indicative of how good you
12:24are. The Ravens have played one more game than the other
12:28three of the other four in the top five.
12:32They're the worst yardage defense in the NFL.
12:36Passing-wise, they're the worst yardage defense by 700
12:40yards.
12:44Kirk said it last night on the broadcast
12:48and shout out to him losing his puppy. Obviously, we're both old people. I was kind of gut-wrenching.
12:52He was like, you just don't
12:56ever see such a disparity where no one runs the ball on you.
13:00As good as Lamar has been, he's going to probably win the
13:04MVP. Burrow should be in the conversation. There's other guys. Henry will be the
13:08offensive player of the year. All fair.
13:12I just really worry that a defense like Kansas City that can
13:16stifle Baltimore to an extent. A defense in Buffalo, honestly, who
13:20we've seen as much of that game didn't go well for Buffalo.
13:24We know those two teams play again, and it'll probably be a much closer game.
13:28Even a Houston where Houston can run the crap out of
13:32football, and then C.J. Stroud, when they're healthy, can
13:36throw the piss out of football. I just worry
13:40a little bit, Mike, that they didn't get it corrected enough.
13:44The talent erosion mixed with mix of coordinators and all those things.
13:48It's a shame because this is, in my opinion, been Lamar's best year, even better than that first
13:52MVP. It'd be a really big shame if the defense is now the reason.
13:56For the first time in the playoffs, it'll be the defense's fault, not the offense.
14:00Maybe they get through it.
14:04I just have my concerns that as bad as even the Chiefs have played
14:08in a lot of ways, Spags will have enough to stop
14:12Lamar enough, and then they're not stopping a nosebleed. If Kyle
14:16Hamilton misses any type of time, I don't know, man.
14:20I'll do respect to Trey White. This isn't 2017.
14:24The Rams were like, someone else, please
14:28take him off our hands.
14:32We'll pay his salary. We'll give you draft picks. Go away.
14:36Trey was a great player, obviously, but
14:40between the knee and the ACL, that's pretty hard to come back from.
14:44Let's move on to our next one, which I know has particular attention for
14:48you, the 3-6 Jets. At the 5-4
14:52Cardinals, the Cardinals are officially a frisky football team.
14:56This is not going to be an easy game for the Jets. No, not at all.
15:00The Cardinals are hot. They're at home. They're in first place.
15:04They're in a division where Kyler's playing, I think, good football. I think he's much
15:08more of the player that we were at least hoping
15:12post-contract he would be. He's not elite, in my opinion.
15:16Maybe he has a great day on Sunday. I don't know. He's a good
15:20quarterback in a market where there's just not a lot of good quarterbacks. When Kyler's engaged,
15:24he can still use his legs really well. It's nice to see. He obviously throws the football well.
15:28They've got some talent on the offensive side of the football. James Conner has been limited in practice
15:32all week, but what a sighting that's been.
15:36No one pays running backs, and they didn't have to give up. I think it was six or seven million bucks he gets
15:40paid. It's a good deal.
15:44He runs the football hard. Their offensive line's not great,
15:48but not bad. You can get pressure on them, for sure.
15:52I don't think the Jets are looking at Calvin Beecham, who played for them
15:56eons ago.
16:00At the same time, they're just doing a lot of things
16:04well as a group. Defensively, it's Buda Baker
16:08and a lot of guys who are just like my day three picks.
16:12A lot of the free agent signings that you maybe wouldn't know about.
16:16They're playing decently as a group. They can be exposed. I'm not overly impressed
16:20with their defense, by any means, but they're playing well enough as a group to help them
16:24get by. On Trey McBride, Marv, Michael Wilson, etc.,
16:28they've got talent. This game, to me, is
16:32more about what Kyler do you get? Kyler has these moments
16:36where early on, he just doesn't really look. He's engaged
16:40and he's not really willing to run. You're like, okay. It's going to be one of those
16:44afternoons. There's other times where Sam Fran, Miami games,
16:48he's locked into it, man. He wants to run the ball 15 times
16:52and 10, 15 times and get out in the pocket of these explosives.
16:56This game is going to come down to the Jets and if the Jets beat themselves. It's been about that the entirety of the year.
17:00The Jets beat themselves against New England. They beat themselves against Buffalo
17:04and Denver and Pittsburgh and all these other places.
17:08Then there's other games where they haven't beaten themselves. You look at Houston
17:12and the first New England game and things of that nature. Oh, they're Tennessee
17:16and the other teams beat themselves and the Jets talent overtook it.
17:20The Jets team has been free and practicing easy and life's all good.
17:24They've been off for 10 days.
17:28If they can stack a win here, and we've talked about it, it's all about stacking wins
17:32for this team to keep themselves relevant. If they win and Indianapolis loses
17:36on Sunday, both the Jets are pick them now and the Colts
17:40are obviously not a favorite against Buffalo. The Jets would be
17:44half a game out of a playoff spot after two weeks ago,
17:48us talking after the New England game of like, are they going to blow this thing up?
17:52That doesn't mean Jack bleep. It'll be at the end of
17:56week 10, but it kind of at least gives you some
18:00hope. I think it's kind of where Cincinnati was at yesterday where it's like, man, if we can
18:04steal one more of these games, look where the schedule opens up. This is probably
18:08the Jets' hardest game for a while until I think they play
18:12I don't know, I guess maybe at Miami is the next hardest. They're home
18:16Indy by home Seattle on a one o'clock kickoff post Thanksgiving.
18:20We know how those things go.
18:24This game, Mike, it comes down to me of like, Rogers
18:28just got 10 days off after finally starting. It looked like it clicked.
18:32Is he Rodgers, the Thursday Night Football
18:36Rodgers we've seen, which is six touchdowns, no picks in like 600 plus yards, or
18:40is it the rest of the year, which has been a non Thursday night game just like
18:44guess what? 10 touchdowns, 7 picks. He's fine.
18:48He's like an old, probably average-ish quarterback, and then he's had moments.
18:52Is this going to be another moment? He's always played well in Arizona, although he had big playoff games
18:56indoors, on grass. What kind of Jets team are we getting on Sunday afternoon?
19:00Yeah, I'm really interested in this one. You mentioned Kyler.
19:04He has been elite on the move, which
19:08again, not surprising because he's an incredibly athletic quarterback, but they have the numbers
19:12to back this up where this year averaging 8.1 yards per carry
19:16when forced out of the pocket or when he decides to go out of the pocket.
19:20He's third in completion percentage when on the move. Five touchdowns, no picks.
19:24A passer rating of 134.9, which is number one. Again, how they measure
19:28the metrics of being outside the box and on the move. Guess who's forced
19:32the quarterback to get outside the box more than anyone other than one other team this year?
19:36It's the Jets. If you're the Jets,
19:40it's critical. Patriots talk about it all the time, about
19:44building a cage. When you're at your best against a mobile quarterback,
19:48you're trying to keep him in there. Let's not forget, too, he's not a big dude.
19:52It's not only keeping him in there, but then when you keep him in there, it's hard for him to see,
19:56which is why I'm a hightest at the position, even though he's playing great.
20:00I always played this year.
20:04Discipline will be important for a Jets team that sometimes hasn't necessarily shown that.
20:08Yeah, that was the one thing last week against Houston. The one nitpick
20:12would be the rush lanes. They were so aggressive in getting after Stroud.
20:16Listen, if they had sacked Kyler eight times and stuff, they'd probably win the football game.
20:20Yes. They do. Redick and McDonald sometimes,
20:24as good as they are, they do go kind of
20:28little 2K, Madden-ish. It's a little bit rogue.
20:32I got this guy. I can do this. The next thing you know, there's this huge lane that you've
20:36opened up. CJ's a good athlete. He's not a Kyler athlete.
20:40It's just the whole system is
20:44rush the quarterback and stop the run on the way there. I wonder if the Jets this week
20:48go, Quincy's going to spy Kyler all game, and we're going to take two, three
20:52steps upfield, and we're almost going to kind of
20:56play that. You're not going anywhere, and we're just going to stand hands up
21:00and try to bat the football down and make you make a decision.
21:04Keep it in front of you. Not easy to say mush rush, by the way.
21:08I would have botched that. Thank God you said it.
21:12My last question for you, and we're taping this early afternoon on Friday.
21:16Offensive line, health issues, is that a concern here going
21:20into Sunday's game? It's a huge concern. It's not a huge concern.
21:24Maybe it's a concern this week. It's not as big of a concern
21:28for me this week as it is. Can they escape these two
21:32games? Kind of a little bit of patchwork. Offensive line, Tetris.
21:36Will Olufasyonu get his, I believe it's third start,
21:40but first start at right guard in his
21:44football playing career? Max Mitchell, right tackle
21:48coming out of college. He's played some left tackle, right tackle, right guard, left guard.
21:52Does he start? AVT was away from practice yesterday.
21:56He's practicing today and apparently moving well. Could he trend in the right direction
22:00or do they give him one more week? Jake Hansen had a hamstring.
22:04John Simpson looks like he's probably the most likely to go with the groin.
22:08That dude's a tough mother effer. We don't talk about Morgan Moses a lot
22:12in this podcast and why it would be. He's an above average right tackle. He's in his 30s.
22:16He is playing on a grade 2 MCL sprain, knee fracture,
22:20and some other 800 effort injuries.
22:24He sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber every night. This is a guy that's not getting paid
22:28LeBron money. I'm not
22:32overly concerned, but
22:36you'd like to have your guys. I just wonder if they'll try to say, let's get through this
22:40week if we can. We have seven more days to get AVT
22:44and Simpson and those guys ready with the bye week coming up here in two weeks.
22:48Got to get to five and six. You can't look too far into the future here with the rest of the season.
22:52In theory, because of the Cardinal defense and their lack of
22:56people on the defensive line, you should be able to get by
23:00with the patchwork. Again, we've seen crazy things happen before.
23:04To your point, they got to stack some wins here
23:08if they want to see the postseason. Let's hear from one of our sponsors, Prize Picks, which is
23:12absolutely fantastic. It's funny because
23:16as we've done this, I've got my four picks ready for you people. We'll drop those
23:20at the end of the program. Prize Picks is the best place to get real money sports action.
23:24Over 10 million members and billions of dollars in award winnings, Prize Picks has made
23:28daily fantasy sports accessible to all. Just pick more or less
23:32on at least two players and up to six to win 100 times your cash.
23:36Absolutely fantastic. If you're feeling this week
23:40like Rodgers is going to throw for 300 yards for the first time in 30 games,
23:44more or less, you go more. Hey, you don't think they can keep
23:48Kyler Murray in there? What are the numbers on Murray? More rushing yards.
23:52Those are the things that you can do. Or if you're confident that they'll be able to keep them in the pocket,
23:56then you take the less. Download the app today. Use code CLNS to get
24:00$50 instantly after you play your first $5 lineup. Again, you don't have to
24:04win the $5 to get the $50 if you use the code. So download the app.
24:08Use code CLNS to get $50 instantly. Prize Picks,
24:12run your game. Now let's get to a game that I don't, quite frankly, want to spend a lot
24:16of time on because two teams that aren't very
24:20good. The 2-7 Patriots visit the 4-4 Chicago Bears. The Bears
24:24had a moment a few weeks ago. That moment has long since gone.
24:28They are having questions in the locker room.
24:32DJ Moore asked if Matt Eberfloos still had the room and he said, I want to say yes.
24:36I want to say yes. So what you're saying is there are
24:40guys in there who say no.
24:44First question, does Eberfloos get fired if the Patriots go to Chicago and
24:48beat the Bears? I'm going to say no. And I'm going to say no for this
24:52reason. I think this feels like
24:56the Bears have been patient and now is going to not be the time.
25:00They don't feel like... I think there's pressure to win because
25:04it's Chicago. There's always pressure to win. And maybe I'm wrong here. But this just
25:08feels like they're going to ride this out. They're going to go into the offseason and say
25:12unless they turn it around here and they get into the playoffs, they're going to say
25:16Matt, thank you. You got us through some tough times. You got this defense up to snuff.
25:20But maybe you'll get a defensive coordinator
25:24job in the next six weeks here.
25:28We're going to go after Ben Johnson with $25 million a year and we're going to take him from the Lions
25:32and he's going to go around with Caleb and this is going to be our thing.
25:36Whether that actually happens or not, who knows. Maybe it's a Liam Cohen or whoever
25:40it may be. But this feels like a...
25:44They should have fired him last year.
25:48He saved his job with a good second half.
25:52So did Adam Gase in year one with the Jets.
25:56But beating Mason Rudolph 13-10 should not save your job.
26:00But regardless, that's what I think will end up happening. I think
26:04people will view this and say the 0-18 stat...
26:08We didn't talk enough about it on Monday because there's other
26:12stuff going on. 0-18 on Sunday road games
26:16in your career is insanity. I don't know how that's even a
26:20possible stat. You think you just stumble into one.
26:24They tried to stumble into one in Washington
26:28in the 60-yard Hail Mary that didn't even reach the goal line.
26:32This game is... I'm very
26:36curious from a Patriots perspective. This is the second time now
26:40we talked about how they handle success.
26:44How do they handle that gut-wrenching, damn, we played well enough to win this football
26:48game. We felt good about ourselves. We had to come back on the last drive and we
26:52lose. Kind of felt a little Seattle game-ish.
26:56Very different games. Just the emotions of it.
27:00Do they look like the way they did against the Jets in week three where they got steamrolled?
27:04Or do they look like a team that they've kind of become where I feel like they're pretty
27:08competitive every week. If you lose because of talent, it is what it is.
27:12This Bears offensive line looks like poop
27:16to keep it PG.
27:20Caleb looks like he's gotten some really good habits and recently there
27:24are some really bad habits coming back. The Patriots could win this game. Whether they do,
27:28we'll see. The Bears have done well, I feel like, in that
27:32beat up on the not-so-good teams.
27:36Again, look competitive. Be nice for Patriots fans if they see them.
27:40Drake may look better than Caleb, but the Bears cannot afford to lose this one.
27:44They want any shot of making the playoffs. They got, what,
27:48five of the six division games coming up? If I'm not mistaken, they're all six? It's one of the two.
27:52Them and Pittsburgh have the weirdest schedules I've ever seen.
27:56They only play division games to finish the year. I'd fire you,
28:00tomorrow, but I don't run the Bears.
28:04We do the All-32 Podcast, so they don't want my opinion, unfortunately.
28:08I think Chicago's got to look at this like
28:12Tennessee did. The Patriots are your chance to be in the get-right game.
28:16Tennessee was playing horrible football, playing worse football than the Patriots. Obviously, the Patriots
28:20come off a win against the Jets. We didn't talk about this enough.
28:24In the Tennessee game, the Patriots came out flat. You're not good
28:28enough to come out with no energy. Mason Rudolph holds the ball for
28:32nine minutes. They go down the field and score. What is happening?
28:36Where's the urgency? This is a chance to
28:40stack. Obviously, Drake did his best to bring them back into the game.
28:44He's the only reason they were in the game at the end. Then, of course, the interception steals it
28:48for Tennessee.
28:52If Chicago has any heart and any
28:56if Everproof still has even the little bit of
29:00sway over that locker room, then this is a game where they see we can beat the Patriots
29:04and we can be back to 5-4. We can postpone the talk about
29:08firing the coach and the playoff thing is done for us.
29:12I have a question for you, quickly.
29:16If I told you right now, if I gave you the over-under
29:20of 1.5 for the Bears' wins remaining in the season,
29:24what would you say? Is that a crazy statement? I'm going to read you their schedule quickly.
29:28Patriots at home. Green Bay. Minnesota.
29:32At Detroit. At San Fran. At Minnesota. Home Detroit.
29:36Seattle. At Green Bay.
29:40I would say the over, but I say the over as in
29:44two. Yeah, as in two. They
29:48legitimately might end up starting
29:524-2 and finishing 5-12. It's not even that they're a
29:56bad team. They had to go
30:005-3
30:04and hope Minnesota wasn't good and hope Seattle's not good and
30:08New England's not good to get to 8-9 wins. Maybe I'm wrong.
30:12This feels like a team that's an arrow pointing up but finishes the
30:16year pretty bad. The Packers
30:20in Detroit and even Minnesota are very good.
30:24I don't know. I don't see a path for them unless they get hot here and Caleb starts looking
30:28awesome. They're just not well-coached enough for me.
30:32Shane Waldron, if you look at the offensive game film this week.
30:36JSN was like, he got another job?
30:40Good luck with that. Stop me if
30:44you've heard this before. It looks like for the ninth time in ten
30:48games, the Patriots are going to run a different offensive line out there.
30:52Mike Nwenu, who is a good right guard, a competent right tackle,
30:56has been lining up at left guard this week. Left guard has been a massive
31:00problem for the Patriots over the last three weeks. Michael Jordan, not the
31:04great Michael Jordan, but the journeyman offensive lineman who
31:08had a couple nice weeks there has regressed badly.
31:12It appears Nwenu's going to go to left guard. Laden Robinson,
31:16the rookie who started against Tennessee and had to be yanked because Jeffrey Simmons was eating
31:20his lunch, will be back at right guard.
31:24I was left with the thought that, did these guys know what they're
31:28doing? I'm not saying that this can't work because I think, obviously,
31:32they believe that Robinson has a chance to be part of their future.
31:36Obviously, they paid Nwenu good money. As they've told
31:40us, he's their best offensive lineman even though he's not having his best year.
31:44Just trying to find the right places and the right people in the right places.
31:48This reminds
31:52me of Belichick. He clearly didn't get it right at the end.
31:56He clearly deserved to go. One of the things that he used to insist upon
32:00and would rarely, rarely make a move like this is, I don't want
32:04to weaken another spot, a good spot, to try to salvage
32:08a different spot. He had to do it last year with Nwenu. He had to kick Nwenu out to right tackle
32:12because right tackle was an absolute dumpster fire. It's not like he
32:16hasn't done it, but for the better part of 20-something years, it's like, nope.
32:20Mike's a guard. He's staying at guard. He's a right guard. He's playing right guard. Nope.
32:24He's a center. He's not going anywhere else. Cross-training tackles. Nope.
32:28Matt Light's a left tackle. Not going to play him at right tackle. He's a left tackle. That's his
32:32position. I'm not messing around with anything else. That's where he stays. I think
32:36this group continues to just be like, close your eyes. Throw a dart. Oh, yeah.
32:40Sure. Let's try it. Then this week, there's a little bit of belly aching about, well,
32:44it's been hard to find the continuity and the consistency.
32:48Some of that is because of injury or bad performance. Some of that is
32:52because you guys keep just messing with it. Based on how they played
32:56against the Jets, where it wasn't a great running football game that day, but they
33:00passed protected as best they had all season long. That's the lineup they should have rolled
33:04into Tennessee, but they felt compelled to switch it again for that game.
33:08It's like a team with a batting order that's like, I don't know why we
33:12can't find a consistency. It's like, well, maybe just letting
33:16guys play 10, 12, 16 straight quarters
33:20in a row at one spot. Maybe they'd feel better.
33:24The roster isn't good enough, so this was going to be a problem, but
33:28man, just pick five and go with it. You've got to live with it.
33:32You're clearly in a year where you're rebuilding, and this is a multi-year process.
33:36You want to play the kid, play the kid. Play Layden Robinson, but just play him.
33:40I would have cross-trained him earlier, and he would have been the left guard three weeks ago, two weeks ago.
33:44When it was clear Michael Jordan was going in the wrong direction, and for whatever reason City
33:48was a starter last year, can't seem to get on the field this year,
33:52we drafted Layden. We started him at the beginning of the year.
33:56Layden, you're going to have to work at left guard because we've got no other option, but I'm not
34:00moving Mike. I'm not moving Mike. Leave him at right guard. That's his best position.
34:04Leave the guy at his best position. He's the one guy you should never move. No, bingo.
34:08Just don't do it. Very confusing to me.
34:12This staff has to show me a lot over the
34:16final eight games of the season. I hear all the excuses about the injuries
34:20and the roster construction, and look, some of that's not their fault. Obviously, Bill
34:24dismantled the roster. The roster was a mess. They inherited a mess, but
34:28they're sitting on $40 million worth of cap that they didn't spend. They re-signed a bunch
34:32of guys from a 4-13 team, calling them the core of their team. I didn't
34:36love that at the time. I said it. I wrote it. I got people yelled at me. What do you want them to do?
34:40I'm like, find some different guys. That's what I want you to do. You don't bring them all back. Even when
34:44you're good, you don't bring them all back. When you're bad, you definitely don't bring them all back.
34:48That's where they are. That's in part why they're a 2-7 football team.
34:52As I've said before, I'm not willing to write off the coaching staff,
34:56but to this point, none of them, OC, DC, Mayo
35:00have proven that they can do the job. Period. End of story.
35:04Let's go to, I think, other than the game we saw
35:08last night, conceivably the best game on the schedule, the 7-2
35:12Commanders hosting the 6-2 Steelers.
35:16You were talking about the weird schedule.
35:20They dug up this note. Pittsburgh will face a divisional opponent
35:24or a team with a winning record, at least as of right now, in each of their
35:28final nine games. It's been great. They've been better than
35:32expected, but now they're going to face the iron of their schedule and we'll see if
35:36they're capable. I guess my question to you is,
35:40it's only a two-game sample size. I know we both don't love
35:44Russell Wilson, but is Russell Wilson done enough to make you
35:48believe that they're going to be a playoff team and that he's unlocked some things
35:52offensively that they haven't been able to unlock for a couple years now?
35:56Yeah, I'm not. I think they'll be a playoff team
36:00because they've got some tiebreakers over teams that they can be competing
36:04with. Again, we'll see on the Cincinnati aspect. They obviously beat the Jets.
36:08That's a game that the Jets will be kicking themselves at the end
36:12of the year, that Denver. My things with Pittsburgh
36:16is this kind of felt like an 8-9, 9-8 team going into the year
36:20and I kind of still feel like maybe it's where they end up. I think
36:24they probably end up in the playoffs. Russ does some things that I think
36:28still translate and Pickens is a great fit for him because he likes to throw
36:32the football up. Mike Williams, who can't really move right now, but
36:36eventually maybe he gets healthy later on in the year
36:40down the stretch and maybe he can be an asset for them. I don't know if I would have given him a fifth
36:44and paid his salary.
36:48To me, this game is like Washington just has to keep pace
36:52right now because Philly is starting to look like Dallas.
36:56If you haven't been paying attention, the last month of Philly football
37:00has been their best since the Super Bowl season. They feel
37:04like they're figuring things out. They feel like they're back. If you're Washington,
37:08it would be a non-conference loss, but you've got Philly
37:12in a week on Thursday Night Football
37:16on the road. That's why if you're Pittsburgh, I feel like you're coming
37:20in here going, hey, it probably will feel like a 50-50 crowd
37:24for us. Can we steal one here with Washington
37:28looking ahead? I don't know that Washington will be looking
37:32ahead. It's a young team. They have some veterans, obviously, but
37:36they're playing well. I don't know defensively. I don't think this is a huge
37:40challenge for Russ. He's got to not turn the football over.
37:44That'll be big, but they should be able to run the football decently and keep this low
37:48scoring and play some good defense. You want to get Afrojean and
37:52stuff like that, but if you're Washington,
37:56this game and the two Eagles games is kind of
38:00sandwiched between three cupcakes. You're going, hey, can we steal one of these
38:04two and put ourselves at eight wins already knowing
38:08we got Dallas at home, Tennessee at home,
38:12New Orleans, Dallas again. Those are four wins. We feel like that's
38:16four wins right there. I don't know. They might be a 13-win team.
38:20They really might be, and Philly might also. I'm excited for this game.
38:24I don't think it'll be beautiful. It won't be the beautiful
38:28game. Pittsburgh doesn't play the beautiful game.
38:32If you're any team in the AFC, you're a huge Washington fan, no matter if you're
38:36a Ravens fan, Bengals, Jets, Colts, whatever it is.
38:40Broncos, you're heavy on the Jaden Daniels train.
38:44It just would be another marker for me for Washington to say, hey,
38:48this isn't a fluke. We're serious. It's another team with a winning
38:52record coming in here and getting the energy and excitement around the
38:56commanders. The commanders for now.
39:00Devin, again, if you're Pittsburgh, hey, kind of a house money game
39:04a little bit before you go to division play, but the way Baltimore is playing, at least
39:08offensively, knowing you got that whole division basically
39:12gauntlet coming up and the winning record stuff,
39:16I'd feel pretty pressed to try to go steal one here in Washington who's a good team.
39:20I'm not sure they're a 7-2 team, but they're a good team
39:24that I think both teams feel like they could win this football game.
39:28I wanted to just quickly, Russell Wilson, 264 yards and then 278
39:32yards passing in his two starts, three touchdowns, no picks, nine-point yard,
39:36five yards per attempt, which kind of speaks to the George Pickens
39:40of the Moonballs pushing it down the field. I wanted to read you a
39:44quote from Terry McLaurin this week who was
39:48asked, is it different? You feel different? And obviously the vibe has
39:52clearly been different in Washington between Jaden and then obviously Dan Quinn
39:56and just the whole thing, the ownership change, everything that's happened in the last year plus.
40:00And this is the piece of the quote I wanted to pull off Twitter.
40:04McLaurin said, practice during the week doesn't feel like work. I've been in situations where the week can feel
40:08such a grind and it's very tough on you mentally and physically. We get our work in here,
40:12but at the same time, there's such a purpose in the way we practice.
40:16I feel like we're always prepared for what's to come, and even when the defense does something or the offense
40:20does something a little different, our competitiveness and the way we're being
40:24trained each and every day allows us to rise to the occasion and be ready
40:28for whatever comes on Sunday. This is a team, and especially
40:32for the veterans like McLaurin, that has been desperate to find success
40:36and now that they're feeling it, there's this unbelievable sense of
40:40joy and of confidence. There's a belief
40:44that continues to get stacked week after week after week, and
40:48to your point, they're not a great team. The roster is not. The roster
40:52needs more work. They signed a lot of sort of veteran stopgap
40:56types, good players and not great players. They had to spend the money. Right, right.
41:00Which is the reverse of what the Patriots did, right? They went out and got some culture
41:04guys who, yeah, did we overpay Tyler Biotish?
41:08Yes, we did, but he's a good player for now, and we know what he's
41:12going to, Quinn having been around him in Dallas, we know what he's going to bring in the locker room.
41:16Dorrance Armstrong, that whole sort of thing.
41:20But yeah, right. He's not even the same. No shade, I'm just
41:24saying the tape the last two years has been. Right. He's not even close to the guy, but
41:28there is a presence about him, an understanding of what they
41:32need to do defensively, whether he can execute it himself is another story.
41:36Mike, you've been around teams here for a long time. Don't you feel like when you do sign
41:40these guys, and you've been around, don't you feel like them winning early on has kept
41:44them engaged, and it's not just a paycheck right now? Like the Eckler, Wagner,
41:48Ertz of the world, always has won titles, and they've been on
41:52like, don't you feel like this is, it's like gives you life?
41:56Yeah, because they didn't sign there. You can't tell me that Eckler, Ertz, those guys
42:00didn't sign there and thought, oh, we're going to be good this year. No, this is
42:04the best money that's out there, or yeah, this is a starting opportunity, and maybe I can
42:08parlay it into another, one more decent contract, even if it's
42:12for a year at their ages. And instead, you start to win early,
42:16you realize that the quarterback, he's been pretty special so far,
42:20and it's like a whole energy shift.
42:24They're banging out the building now. I've been to that place, it was three
42:28years ago, I think, where it was half
42:32full, and it was, of the half that was there, 75%
42:36were Patriots fans. You know, easy shuttle trip, bam, boom, you're in, you're out.
42:40You know, you got to see your team win by three touchdowns, like that's
42:44sort of what it's been like, and now they're talking this week about defending
42:48their field. You know the terrible towels are going to, like, no, we've got
42:52to show them that it's our place, this is our team, we're better than you. It's going to be hard
42:56to play here, and it hasn't been for years, so yeah, there's a whole different vibe
43:00to it, and it's kind of what's awesome about sports, right? There's a
43:04belief there that maybe shouldn't exist
43:08or they're not good enough to have it, but they have it
43:12and they're getting the results, which only lets the belief grow.
43:16Coach says this, I'm going to do what coach says, because it's working, right? He's doing this, I'm going to,
43:20like, I'll do it. You know what? I'll spend an extra hour studying film,
43:24because we could have a home playoff game. We could win the division. Like, there's all these things
43:28in play that certainly, when they got started back in
43:32April and May in OTAs and even during the summer months,
43:36we're like, you know, it'd be like if we win six or seven games, which I think is
43:40where we put them, right? And now we're talking about this disease.
43:44I would be, for them, and the way they played,
43:48I'd be disappointed if they don't make the playoffs.
43:52It would take an injury to Daniels or some sort of unforeseen collapse at this point
43:56for them to sort of crater and fall out of the playoff position.
44:00It's a cool story, and I'm really interested in it. I also want to throw one other sneaky little
44:04number at you. Did you know they're averaging
44:08164 yards on the ground? Third best running football team in the league, the Washington Commanders, only behind
44:12Philadelphia and Baltimore. Obviously, Daniels plays into that with his
44:16legs, but it's been Bryan Robinson and others contributing
44:20to Daniels stats. The home and away splits
44:24are a little funky. Only has two touchdowns at home, but obviously they play less games.
44:28Two really important stats for Jay and Daniels.
44:32In one-score games, they ended in one-score games, obviously, right?
44:3680 for 112,000, 15 yards, 71% completion,
44:401,000 plus yards, five touchdowns, no picks. Pretty damn good
44:44in one-score games. And then last two minutes of halves,
44:4821-26, 323, three touchdowns, no picks.
44:52So in one-score games, he's been really good and efficient, and in
44:56the end of halves, they've been really good and efficient. They will have to continue that, obviously, here through the
45:00stretch run to try to win that division. Let's hear from Game Time.
45:04I got to tell you, so earlier this week, Wednesday, I'm doing TV,
45:08and it's NBC Sports Boston, which is the rights holder to
45:12the Boston Celtics, hosting the Golden State Warriors. Massive
45:16game because of the Steve Kerr not playing Jason Tatum, that whole thing, right? And I say
45:20to myself as I'm sitting there, we're doing an earlier show. It's normally 6.30. It was at 5.30.
45:24I'm only doing a half hour, doing some Q&A with one of the Celtics
45:28guys during the show, and I'm like, what am I doing that I can't go to the game?
45:32So what'd your boy do? Your boy got on Game
45:36Time, used the Game Time Picks filter,
45:40and got himself tickets to the game for a great price. Difficult ticket.
45:44The Celtics are a hard ticket to get because defending chance, whatnot. And of course, unfortunately,
45:48I saw Steph Curry and Golden State beat the Celtics, but
45:52I used Game Time absolutely as easy as can be. Did it from my phone.
45:56Bing, bam, boom. Got what I wanted. As I mentioned,
46:00the Game Time Picks, it filters out the fluff to show you only incredible deals and great seats, so you don't have to waste
46:04time searching through thousands of tickets. Download the Game Time app, create
46:08an account, use code CLNS for $20 off your first purchase,
46:12which, you know, at $20, that's free money.
46:16Again, terms apply. Create the account, redeem the code CLNS for $20
46:20off. Download Game Time today. What time is it? It is.
46:24Game Time. Let's get to the last one that
46:28it's lacking a little juice for me. The record says it should have juice,
46:32but one team's just not playing the way that we thought they were capable of, and that's
46:36the Houston Texans who are playing the Lions. The Lions 7-1. Maybe
46:40the best football of anybody in the league, even though Kansas City, I know, is undefeated.
46:44Texans at 6-3. Texans coming off the mini-buy
46:48after they lost to the Jets. Nico Collins, as of Friday,
46:52has been designated to return from IR, although it doesn't feel
46:56like he's going to play this weekend. Feels like it's a little too soon as he's coming back off the four-week
47:00hamstring injury. The Texans
47:04thing is very interesting to me, and I heard, shout out to Chris
47:08Simms, the unbuttoned pod. I was listening to it this week on one of my
47:12700 walks with my dog, who was a royal pain in the ass this week.
47:16He was talking about, and we've been on this, you in particular,
47:20about how the Texans just, the record has been good,
47:24but they've not played good football, at least consistently
47:28good football. I was raving about them after they
47:32torched the Patriots by 20 points, but again, consider the opposition in that one.
47:36One of the things that Simms pointed out, and I think you're seeing the impact
47:40on C.J. Stroud in year two, is their pass protection
47:44has been poor. Very, very poor.
47:48He was talking about how they used the slide system,
47:52and Stroud is having to trust the offensive line
47:56and the Bobby Slowick system that they're accounting for the blitzes, and he has
48:00to say to himself, okay, well, we should pick this up. It's coming from the right side,
48:04and they slide to the left, because someone else sees it differently,
48:08and the next thing you know, he's looking up, and he's got someone bearing down on him that he thought they should have
48:12picked up, and there's been a lot of that happening, and there's also just been
48:16a degradation of the interior of that offensive line,
48:20where Scruggs is okay, but Shaq Mason's been below average.
48:24Both greens, whichever one you want to talk about, Kendrick or Kenyon, both have played
48:28poorly at the other guard position. You saw that
48:32most in personal with what the Jets were able to do to them.
48:36Quinn and Williams was in the backfield. Well, actually, they were all in the backfield, as they had
48:40eight sacks in that game, but I mean, CJ was, what, 11 for 32
48:44in that game? We're talking about one of the most accurate passers. His ball placement
48:48generally outstanding. Jets have now owned him back-to-back years,
48:52but I just wonder, and we've been on the Slowick thing, if
48:56teams have caught up to them, and now because of the way
49:00they're deciding to block it up front, and then some of the personnel they have up front,
49:04that this has become their, sort of, much like we talk about the Ravens,
49:08their, this could be the fatal flaw for this football team.
49:12Yeah. If you look at the Texans' schedule, this is very
49:16people think I'm being a loser for this.
49:20I wouldn't rush Nico Collins back this weekend. It's a non-conference game.
49:24It is a game that you cannot afford not to have Nico Collins, especially now without no digs
49:28for the rest of the year. Without now no digs. That was horrible English.
49:32After this game, they go to Dallas.
49:36No Dak Prescott. Everyone should steamroll Dallas at this point.
49:40Tennessee, Jacksonville, Miami. They don't play another game
49:44that you would be shocked that they didn't win until
49:48Kansas City, and then the Ravens on Christmas Day. This team,
49:52even if they lost their three games they aren't favored in, including Sunday afternoon,
49:56they'd still be an 11-win team that should coast to a division
50:00title and host a playoff game. Yeah, seating, you know, they probably would drop to maybe the four-seat as opposed
50:04to the three-seat, and we can have those discussions, and I'm not saying
50:08if Nico's healthy to play, you want to win this football game, get yourself back on track, but
50:12this is a team that's got a lot of injuries, mixed with some bad football, and it feels like
50:16I don't know that Detroit's the team I want to be playing right now when that's not happening.
50:20Now, that said, we said that about Tampa Bay early on in the year, and they went into
50:24Detroit, and they're the one team in the last two years I felt like
50:28that plays Detroit. It's like the Lions and Rams and the Bucks and the Rams. It's like
50:32the Bucks and the Lions having those receivers and stuff, and look at Nico
50:36and Dell and stuff are healthy. I would have loved to see these two teams fully healthy
50:40get it on on Sunday Night Football, but yeah, this feels like
50:44the Texans have got to be better. I don't need them to win this game.
50:48I need them to look like a 10- to 12-win football team,
50:52not a 6- or 7-win football team, and if you're Detroit,
50:56back inside, get out of the elements.
51:00I do wonder about the Stroud protection stuff.
51:04Chris did go to a level that I don't know. I have no idea if it's true or not
51:08that they don't teach C.J. protections. D.J. Bianame
51:12who covers the Texans said that's not true. Even still,
51:16if protections are at all an issue and you're playing poorly on the offensive side of the football,
51:20it's going to be a huge issue. I just want to see the Texans look like a team
51:24that should be a double-digit playoff team. I just don't feel
51:28like all year we've gotten that. We get it in spurts and these moments, but
51:32remember, this is a team last year, I believe, if I'm not mistaken,
51:36had no, outside of their scheduled primetime
51:40game, they were a 1 o'clock window, usually the C, D level,
51:44the Spiro, Adidas, Adam Marchaleta game. Their own
51:48primetime, a lot. Last week, this week,
51:52they were the CBS Maine 1 o'clock game.
51:56It's a much different schedule.
52:00They've got the same record, but they don't look as good.
52:04To me, for Detroit, this is house money. It's like,
52:08hey, we want to go on the road and national television again and go beat up a team
52:12that people think is really good. It's good for us, but let's just extend our lead.
52:16If you're Houston, again, you don't need this one, but you
52:20need to look like the Houston Texans, not like
52:24a couple years ago, Houston Texans. We thought those were
52:28far gone. If there's another 11 for 32
52:32and 8 sacks, press the
52:36panic button. It might be time
52:40to put the fries in the bag. Last week was tough.
52:44It was incredibly tough. It was a first-round pick, right?
52:48Not getting that level of play from him.
52:52I wanted to give you a little number, interesting one. Jared Goff
52:56targeting Amon Ross St. Brown. Since week 3,
53:0030 targets, 30 catches.
53:04A touchdown every week. At least one.
53:08It's the longest streak between a quarterback and either a wide receiver or tight end
53:12since, I think, 1991, I think the stat was.
53:16Insane. Just absolutely insane. He is so good.
53:20They get Jamison Williams back. Again, who knows where his head is at.
53:24It's generally not been in the right place, but obviously an explosive dude that has had
53:28some explosive plays for them over the last couple years, so it could just make a 7-1
53:32team better if they can get that guy absolutely locked in.
53:36Let's get to our prize picks. I have four for you.
53:40Three of them are going to be out of this Patriots-Bears game.
53:44DeAndre Swift, touchdowns.
53:48Take them all on the half a touchdown.
53:52Hunter Henry, who is the Drake May binky,
53:56more than 42.5 yards receiving. Drake May,
54:00look, Chicago's a good defense. Edmonds, real good player
54:04in the middle. Drake May, the number is 28.5.
54:08I'm going to take more on the rushing.
54:12He had 95 last week. I'm going to take more on that one, and then my
54:16one non-one, and the only reason that I will even peer in on the
54:20Germany football game is Malik Naber's more than 74.5
54:24receiving yards. I will echo you.
54:28Daniel Jones, more rushing yards, similar to the Drake May thought process.
54:32The Panthers stink.
54:36This is real. This game is...
54:40This is like a middle figure to the fans of Germany. I guess they don't know enough.
54:44We're giving you two crap teams. More on Daniel Jones' rushing yards.
54:48This guy's playing for his job week in, week out. Now if they don't win, he's going to
54:52have to run the football. That's how he was successful and got paid years ago.
54:56Excuse me. Sorry about that. Last, I'll go to
55:00here, both from the Rams game. Rams at Miami,
55:04or home against Miami. I'm going to go Kyron Williams, more
55:08two and a half catches. And I'm going to go Kyron Williams more
55:12in terms of rushing yards. I'm doing that because
55:16I feel like in order to beat Miami right now, you've got to just
55:20the easiest way to beat them is keep the football out of that offense's hands
55:24and just wear them down on defense. They're a team that I think if you get up on early,
55:28it could get late quickly. So I would go more
55:32pretty much on anything Kyron Williams related. I'm also going to go
55:36one last rogue one here. I've gone to this well before, so I'll
55:40go to it. I'll throw one Jeff's one in here. Devontae Adams
55:44more in terms of receptions.
55:48I think we saw something click last week in the second half.
55:52I can see Roderick really leaning on Tay.
55:56It seems like there was some type of meeting with Chris Johnson
56:00or some type of meeting about, hey, next year and stuff.
56:04It seems like Devontae's really enjoying being here. I'd expect a heavy dose of
56:08Devontae Adams in Arizona on Sunday.
56:12Those are your prize picks. He is Will Parkinson. I'm Mike Ciotti. Reminder to like,
56:16subscribe, rate, review the all 32 pods so we can keep
56:20this thing going in the right direction. Have a fantastic weekend, and we will see
56:24you on Monday as we recap what hopefully turns out to be a
56:28better games than it looks like
56:32there is on paper. We'll see.
