Set during the Republic of China era, “Hopeless Situation” follows revolutionary Liu Yunfei as he leads a group to protect China’s cultural relics from being plundered by foreign powers. Their mission takes them on an adventurous quest to safeguard a treasure buried in a valley. However, their journey is fraught with danger, culminating in a mountain collapse where Liu Yunfei sacrifices himself to save others.
