00:00Yeah, so any youth, we're a regional youth development charity based in Blaydon.
00:03We provide infrastructure support for the youth sector as well as direct programmes
00:07for young people and tonight is how we kind of celebrate that.
00:11So tonight is an event called the Any Youth Impact Awards where we recognise and celebrate
00:17the achievements of young people and also equally as importantly celebrate the achievements
00:22of the people that support young people as well.
00:24Yeah, I mean the work that Any Youth does, you know, it can create a great platform for
00:28young people to grow and develop their skills, their confidence, their self-esteem, you know,
00:35become more employable.
00:36A lot of the programmes that we deliver are around building resilience, you know, building
00:42skills through either our generic open access youth provision or our more targeted programmes
00:50for young people.
00:51The Any Youth Impacts Awards were previously known as Projects with Pride, which has been
00:55going on for almost 90 years.
00:57This year, they have been hosted by a brave group of young presenters from the Activity Den.
01:02There were also performances from four of the Any Youth's member organisations that
01:05all done brilliantly.
01:20When I was very young, I started going to a charity called the Activity Den, which is
01:25my local youth charity, and then I was ready to take the next step up.
01:29So I asked if I could be a young volunteer, trial it out, and I've been a young volunteer
01:35for about four years now.
01:37Last year, I won an award, which was Young Volunteer of the Year Awards.
01:43However, this year at the Impact Awards, I'm here presenting as one of the young hosts.
01:48I hope that they feel the same as I felt when I won my award.
01:53It's that feeling of recognition that you know what you are doing is actually making
01:57a difference and working and people are noticing it.
