Jackie Robson from the Sunderland Lions. We teamed up with the Red Sky Foundation last
00:08
year. How did it go?
00:09
Absolutely amazing. We were overwhelmed by the number of people who wanted to take part
00:14
and did. We used funds for causes that are dear to the heart and support Red Sky Foundation
00:19
and Sunderland Lions.
00:21
And how much is it to take part this year?
00:23
It's £10 and you register online through the Red Sky link. And we kept the price at
00:30
last year's price to encourage as many dippers as possible to take part. When dippers take
00:35
part they will get a medal for taking part in the dip. They will also get a hot chocolate
00:41
here at the stack and they're given the opportunity to do amazing things for causes that are dear
00:46
to their heart and in the beautiful coastline of Sunderland, number one coastline in the
00:53
UK.
00:55
Red Sky Foundation founder Sergio Petrucci is here at the stack. Second time we've been
00:59
based here. How important is it to have the support of local businesses?
01:02
It's really really important because without their support we simply couldn't put the event
01:06
on. There's a lot of infrastructure that goes around hosting the event as well but it's
01:10
designed to encourage as many people to have so much fun in a safe way. But the best way
01:15
to do that is to come down, support the people who are taking part in the dip. Last year
01:19
we had thousands of people lining the promenade which was just phenomenal and we made the
01:23
national news with it. It was one of the biggest dips in the country and we're hoping to improve
01:28
on that this year by encouraging as many many people as possible to come down, support their
01:32
own favourite charity as well. It's about reinvesting and putting money into great causes
01:38
across the city and beyond as well. So if you want to take part and you want to support
01:42
a charity that's close to your heart, please please register today and take advantage of
01:47
this amazing occasion. And how do people register? If you visit dip.redskyfoundation.com, £10
01:54
to register and with that you'll get a free hot chocolate courtesy of the stack and you'll
01:58
also get the amazing experience. You'll get the comms beforehand, the encouragement, you
02:03
can get a fundraising link from us as well if you want to do it for Red Sky Foundation
02:07
or your own charity and set your own link up as well after that. But ultimately the
02:12
most important thing that we want people to do is have fun, celebrate Christmas together.
02:17
The only way that Maccams know how to is to have a great time and enjoy themselves.
