00:00The government continues to give opportunities to all Filipinos in every corner of the country.

00:06In fact, even our fellow countrymen, indigenous people in Agusan del Sur,

00:12the situation has worsened because of the actions of the government.

00:17How do we know? In the news center of Jennifer Gaetano of PIA Karaga.

00:23Most of the people living in the town of Esperanza are indigenous people.

00:27They have a strong will to be strong and resilient.

00:30That is why the town is more motivated to implement many programs and projects

00:35that the government is doing to benefit their community.

00:38In fact, the residents are happy to share their gratitude and testimony

00:43on how they were able to maintain their livelihood

00:46with the help of various government agencies and other sectors.

00:50We have already received trainings from the local government unit

00:53in the barangays where our women are members of the local government unit.

01:01Esperanza Mayor Deo Manpatilan also has a positive view,

01:04especially since they are the first town to be able to benefit from the soil testing

01:08of the provincial government through the soils laboratory, which is about to be completed.

01:13We want to know how you are doing, how are your families,

01:17how are your tribes, how are the people living in our province.

01:21This is our goal to implement an economic condition for every community,

01:28every family, and every individual of Esperanza in the whole world.

01:33According to the data, since the declaration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty in 1987,

01:39where Esperanza has a 44.2% poverty incidence, it has only 15.5% in the past year.

01:47National Anti-Poverty Commission Deputy Director General Gurly Amarillo

01:52gave the DND to the people who were living in poverty.

01:56It was also an inspiration to the residents who are working hard

01:59to fight for the development of their town.

02:03Our national government is here and it is providing a living program to the people.
