00:20because of the Mental Rest Day for the students of the university.

00:24The Mental Rest Day or Mahotawai Day

00:27is in accordance with the memorandum order initiated by CAPSO President Dr. Efren Linan

00:32to give the students time to recharge themselves

00:37after their studies and other academic requirements.

00:41On this day, they can step back from the hectic pace of academic life

00:47and focus on rejuvenating themselves and connect with their support groups

00:52whether it's their family, friends, or mentors.

00:56Thus, on Mahotawai Day, we encourage our students

01:01to spend the day in a way that best supports their personal renewal and health.

01:07CAPSO has almost 23,000 students

01:11in three campuses and six satellite colleges in the province.

01:15This Mental Rest Day gives you more time to rest

01:19and also spend time with your families and friends.

01:22For me, it would be a great time to spend some me-time for myself

01:27and to reinforce the lost energy I had in the past few months.

01:34I feel happy that our university gives importance in mental health

01:39and it gives our students a time to unwind and relax from all of our academics.

01:44This is in accordance with the directive of the faculty members of the university

01:48to avoid giving school-related activities prior to Mental Rest Day.

01:53A day of relaxation for students twice a year

01:59is also a message of encouragement for more comprehensive services

02:03that are needed in this time

02:05to take better care of the health and well-being of our citizens.
