Heisman Bets Ahead of Week 11

Nick and Femi break down the dual favorites in the Heisman market. Who is their best bet?

00:00All right, Heisman Trophy, Cam Ward and Travis Hunter are the co-favorites, Femi, a plus 200.

00:10How are we betting the Heisman Trophy heading into this week in college football?

00:14Yeah, I'd say the most interesting development from this week was the fact that a guy who was

00:17playing on by, that being Travis Hunter, saw his price shorten and actually got a little bit more

00:21momentum. So not just in the betting markets, but he also became the athletic. They've been

00:25doing their weekly straw poll for about five weeks or so now. He overtook Ashton Gente as

00:31the Heisman Trophy front runner in the athletic straw poll, like without playing. And a lot of

00:35that was Travis Hunter, obviously really awesome as a football player. He was on college game day

00:39on Saturday, also a big nude kickoff. Both of those pregame shows were in Happy Valley for Ohio

00:44State, Penn State. Like there was a full fledged campaign going on, hashtag election season,

00:48a full on campaign for Travis Hunter to win the Heisman Trophy. So you're competing with that.

00:53I still think Cam Ward should be a favorite in this one. I don't think the prices should

00:57be equal two to one. Like Cam Ward's the quarterback of an undefeated team and has

01:01the best stats. Like that to me still trumps all, no pun intended on this election day from

01:06Travis Hunter, what he's been able to do. But the Hunter campaign is a hundred percent there.

01:11It's something you should be aware of. I believe it's two players that we have here, Hunter and

01:14Gente. Gente feels like he's losing steam right now. So from a betting standpoint, like, look,

01:19we talked about getting Cam Ward at three to one last week. It's now two to one.

01:23He's expected to win again. If you want to go back to the well with Cam Ward,

01:26you can go ahead and do that. I don't, I wouldn't, I don't think I would do that.

01:29I think I just hold onto the tickets that we bet last week. If you're listening to us,

01:32then if you have nothing, then bet Cam Ward. But if you have more at better prices,

01:36just hang out and wait, let's see the results later on this weekend. But I do believe Cam

01:40will be the guy that wins it, but Hunter's making it that much more interesting. The

01:43more Colorado wins and now they're actually factored into the playoff conversation.
