Republican Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson lost the race for North Carolina Governor to the state's Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein, according to the Associated Press, ending the provocative candidate’s campaign.

00:47because I wanted this so bad for you.

00:49I wanted this for the people of North Carolina, not for me.

00:55I wanted to represent them.

00:57I wanted to take their issues before the folks of North Carolina and

01:01really have those issues addressed.

01:04Not for the purposes of climbing a political ladder,

01:07but for the purposes

01:08of fighting for the people in the state that I love.

01:22in the sight of man.
