Starry night for AFLW with big grand final plans announced

The AFLW will move its grand final to an evening slot from this season for the first time in its history, as confirmed by AFL football boss Laura Kane and GM Emma Moore.

00:00For the first time in the AFLW history, the 2024 NAB AFLW Grand Final will be played

00:08under lights in a prime time evening slides. This will enable more people to watch the game

00:14on the AFL, to watch the biggest game on the AFLW calendar, exposing more people to our great game

00:20and an unforgettable atmosphere to close the season. The Grand Final venue will be confirmed

00:25following the preliminary final, with hosting rights earned by the highest ranked competing

00:30state. I'm also pleased to announce the Premiership Cup Tour and to have Theron Films with us here

00:38today. It will begin on Monday, November the 11th and it will journey through major regions

00:45across Australia such as Adelaide, Tasmania for the first time, New South Wales and Queensland

00:51and connect with footy fans from all different communities far and wide.
