00:00The National Council on Disability Affairs launched a program to give inspiration to persons with disabilities.
00:08I'm Angelo Calixtro of IBC 13 in Balitang Pambansa.
00:14Strengthening and ensuring that information technology will be available in the new era.
00:20That is the goal of the National Council on Disability Affairs or NCDA and its partner countries for youth with disabilities.
00:29With the help of an international competition called Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities,
00:36there is an opportunity for youths with disabilities to strengthen and enhance their skills in new information technology
00:45and to use it in education and job search.
00:49For NCDA, this is an opportunity to show some children from different countries that their disability is not just a barrier.
01:06It's an opportunity to showcase their talents and for them to show that they have a different ability.
01:12Muhammad Dazir Dinesh, 2020 Global IT Leader, encouraged the participants that whatever the result of the competition,
01:20it should be an inspiration for them.
01:24Let's make today a day to remember. Let's make today the day that we show the world what we are made of.
01:31Remember, if I can do it, so can you.
01:35Let's go out there and make history.
01:38Mr. Joon Oh, a member of the Board of Free Korea and Chairman of Save the Children,
01:44hopes that the scope of Global IT will expand and that more youths with disabilities will be able to teach and help.
01:51More than 193 youths have joined this year from 16 countries.
