समस्तीपुर, बिहार: समस्तीपुर में नगर निगम प्रशासन ने छठ पर्व के लिए बूढ़ी गंडक नदी के 56 घाटों पर सफाई व्यवस्था बढ़ा दी है। दलदली इलाकों में बैरिकेडिंग और बालू भरने सहित अन्य प्रयासों से स्थानीय लोगों ने संतुष्टि जताई है। पार्किंग और निगरानी उपायों की भी योजना बनाई गई है। नगर आयुक्त के.डी. प्रज्जवल ने बताया, "हम इस समय एक नई चुनौती का सामना कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि पिछले पांच दिनों में बूढ़ी गंडक नदी का जलस्तर लगभग दो फीट बढ़ गया है। इस कारण हमने जो बैरिकेडिंग की थी, वह बेअसर हो गई है, जिससे हमारे सामने नई चुनौती खड़ी हो गई है। इसके अलावा दलदली क्षेत्र है, वहां हम किसी भी असुविधा को रोकने के लिए रेत की बोरियां तैनात करेंगे।"
