00:00Allahu Allahu Allahu Allahu Allahu Allahu
00:15When love teaches the etiquette of self-awareness,
00:30the secrets of the emperor are revealed to the slaves.
00:33Whether it is Attar, Rumi, Raazi, Ghazali,
00:38nothing is achieved without the hour of the dawn.
00:42There is no hope for them, O leader of the obligatory.
00:46They are weak, but they are not without taste.
00:49O Ta'eer-e-Lahuti, death is better than that sustenance.
00:54The one from whose sustenance the camel comes in flight.
00:57From Dara and Sikandar, the man who is poor.
01:01The one whose poverty has the smell of Asadullah.
01:04The mirror of the young men.
01:06There is truth and there is nothing left.
01:09The lions of Allah do not have a face.
01:12Respected audience,
01:15to take the group of Sufis to perfection,
01:19I will request the special address of Dr. Syed Hamid Farooq Bukhari.
01:25Please come and express your thoughts.
01:28Naray Takbir, Naray Risalat, Naray Haidari.
01:58Allahumma salli ala Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammad wa ala ala Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammad.
02:27I would like to thank you from the depths of my heart.
02:35Hazrat-ul-Allam, respected Dr. Musharraf Hussain Al-Azhari sahib.
02:47That you came to this institution.
02:54With Hazrat-ul-Ummat-ur-Rahmat-ul-Alai,
02:58I have been in contact with him for many decades.
03:01And I have also had the opportunity to meet him.
03:06But today, you have come here for the first time.
03:11So, I would like to thank you on behalf of my institution,
03:15on behalf of the students,
03:17on behalf of the teachers.
03:22Because they have given us these moments out of their busy schedules.
03:31There is a series of lectures in different universities.
03:36By the grace of Allah, they are serving the Holy Qur'an.
03:42In fact, I would say that Allah is honoring them with the service of the Holy Qur'an.
03:48So, it is Allah's blessing and favor.
03:52Knowledge will be with many people.
03:55But until the grace of Allah is present,
03:58then this love and affection for the Holy Qur'an does not arise.
04:02So, all the meetings I have had with him so far,
04:06in every gathering, in every gathering,
04:09even if he is sitting alone,
04:11even if he is sitting in a gathering,
04:13after a while, the talks come to the Holy Qur'an.
04:18So, it is true that I have seen this.
04:20So, all day today, he came to our university in Gujarat.
04:24And he gave a very beautiful lecture on Surah Yusuf.
04:28And that story, and that incident,
04:32the incidents in it,
04:34and its symbolic interpretation,
04:36that Ahsanul Qasas,
04:38which the Qur'an has called the best story,
04:41he explained it in a very beautiful way.
04:43So, this thought may come to my mind,
04:46that it is possible that only Surah Yusuf can be explained in a better way.
04:50We just came to know that Surah Al-Duha is also explained in a better way.
04:55So, whatever Surah we listen to,
04:57in it, we will see the connection,
05:00we will see the poetry,
05:02we will see the beauty.
05:04So, we will have to believe that Allah grants whoever He wants.
05:10So, at this time, in Britain,
05:135-6 institutions are running under the name of Kareemia Institute.
05:18In fact, Allah is making it run.
05:20The Holy Qur'an is being served.
05:22Allah has given them the opportunity to translate the Holy Qur'an.
05:27In the name of The Majestic Qur'an,
05:29it is a very beautiful translation.
05:31You have translated it in very simple and easy English.
05:35I have it with me.
05:37InshaAllah, I will show it to you from a distance.
05:40So that when you grow up a little more,
05:42we will show it to you up close.
05:44Okay?
05:45So, you will read it and InshaAllah, you will be pleased.
05:48And then you will come to know
05:50what insight my Lord gives to His saint.
05:55Hazrat Zia-ul-Ummat had said,
05:57I will not go alone in the streets
05:59and beg in the name of Allah.
06:01I do such a thing
06:03that a person sitting in Britain should also serve the Qur'an.
06:06A person sitting in Bokan should also serve the Qur'an.
06:09So, this is the gift of Hazrat Zia-ul-Ummat.
06:12And without this, these things are not possible.
06:15So, today you have come for the first time.
06:17And I am sure this is the first time.
06:19But it will not be the last time.
06:21And you will come again and again.
06:23And InshaAllah, when you come again in the future,
06:26apart from this formal gathering,
06:28you will come to a non-formal gathering
06:30only in front of the students.
06:32And on the path of the Holy Qur'an,
06:34in which there is no restriction of time,
06:36and there is no need of any formality or formality.
06:39And there we can talk a lot.
06:41And InshaAllah, this series will continue
06:43with goodness and blessings.
06:46All the talks have been done.
06:48Now, the people of Silsila Chishtiyah
06:50should not be told about Silsila Chishtiyah again and again.
06:53So, a lot of things,
06:55Syed Atiq-ur-Rehman Shah Sahib has said.
06:57All my brothers have said.
06:59But remember one fundamental thing.
07:01In today's time, as Qibla Darsab has said,
07:04Because today is the era of digital media.
07:07So, it is true that now,
07:09no one reads the great books of Qurtubi, Tabari, Razi or Tasawwuf.
07:14In front of us, the statement that is published on social media,
07:17or the clip that comes,
07:19on the basis of that, we form our beliefs.
07:22Our assumptions start to develop.
07:25And then we reach a conclusion on our own.
07:28So, we take the conclusion that
07:30this Tasawwuf is not a reality.
07:32This is not a reality.
07:34This is not an invention.
07:36So, you have made Tasawwuf as a parallel religion.
07:39So, it has nothing to do with Islam.
07:41See, the terminology keeps changing.
07:44If this is said in front of you,
07:46that where was Tasawwuf in the time of Rasool-e-Akram?
07:49So, where were the words of Sharaf and Naaf in the time of Rasool-e-Akram?
07:53In the time of Rasool-e-Akram,
07:55where were the words of Majaz, Haqiqat, Mutlaq and Muqayyat?
07:59So, we are bound by our time.
08:02The fundamental thing is to see what Tasawwuf is.
08:05Just like we were sitting and the doctor was saying,
08:08that what is the reason behind the objectives of Shariah,
08:11or behind any command of Shariah?
08:13Why has Allah given this command?
08:15If Salah is obligatory, then why?
08:17If fasting is obligatory, then why?
08:19It is good if you understand it.
08:21Otherwise, it comes in matters of worship.
08:23Even if you don't understand, you have to perform it.
08:25But if you understand,
08:27it is very good for the satisfaction of the heart.
08:30So, you have to understand the reason for everything.
08:32Why is Zakat obligatory? Why is Hajj obligatory?
08:34Why do you spend lakhs of rupees?
08:36What is the wisdom behind it?
08:38So, we have to see what is Tasawwuf?
08:41What is its foundation?
08:43What is its reason?
08:44What is the hidden wisdom behind it?
08:46So, the biggest proof of Tasawwuf in front of us,
08:50comes in the form of Hadith-e-Jibreel.
08:53When the master said,
08:55what is faith? What is Islam?
08:57It has been explained.
08:59Then the master said, what is Ihsan?
09:01Then Hazrat-e-Jibreel said,
09:09Ihsan is to worship Allah in such a way
09:11that you are seeing Him.
09:13If you cannot do this,
09:15then believe that He is seeing you.
09:17When this state is created,
09:21then you will be successful in keeping the foundation of Tasawwuf.
09:25So, there is a time for terminology.
09:27Even now,
09:29it is obvious to all of us,
09:31that in Bar-e-Sagheer,
09:33Bar-e-Ilvi is also related to Makb-e-Fiqar.
09:36It is the same, isn't it?
09:38There is no doubt.
09:40We are related to Bar-e-Ilvi and Makb-e-Fiqar.
09:42It is there in Bar-e-Sagheer.
09:44But is it the same in the rest of the Arab world?
09:46Is it the same in the rest of the world?
09:48Are they not Muslims?
09:50So, it means that it is a relational relation.
09:52How is it related to Islam?
09:54So, such relations are there,
09:56according to the time.
09:58According to the time when the sciences are organized.
10:00I am summarizing it very briefly.
10:02So, it is not necessary that
10:04you will get the word of Tasawwuf in that time,
10:06when Master Kareem has come.
10:08But the fundamental purpose of Tasawwuf is
10:10purification of the soul.
10:12And purification of the heart.
10:14Purification of the soul and purification of the heart.
10:16The one whose soul is purified,
10:18and the heart is purified,
10:20Allah has made him a Sufi.
10:22He has become a Sufi.
10:24Alright?
10:26And I have read these verses of Surah Al-Shams.
10:28And the way Qibla Dard
10:30has explained and explained
10:32the Qur'an in front of you,
10:34look at it.
10:36Why do you have to take an oath?
10:38To make you believe.
10:40You do not believe what I say.
10:42I will take an oath and speak.
10:44I will take an oath and then you will believe me.
10:46Now, can there be a doubt in the words of my Lord?
10:49So Allah has not just one,
10:51but there are two kinds of oaths.
10:53There are only two kinds of oaths.
10:55There are eleven kinds of oaths in Surah Al-Shams.
10:57Eleven kinds of oaths.
10:59And the whole Qur'an is the only commandment
11:01where Allah has made eleven kinds of oaths.
11:04Sometimes one, sometimes two, sometimes three,
11:06sometimes four, sometimes five.
11:08There were eleven kinds of oaths.
11:10He said,
11:12The one whose soul is purified,
11:14is successful in this world as well as in the hereafter.
11:18What is the belief of Sahab-e-Suffah?
11:21What is that authority?
11:23Why did they come there?
11:25What is their purpose?
11:27So that is why people sometimes say that
11:30we have derived from Suffah,
11:32both Sufism and Sufism.
11:34Its source is Ijtikaaq.
11:36It is related to Sahab-e-Suffah.
11:38So keep this fundamental thing in mind.
11:41If you are ever confused
11:43that there is no basis of Sufism,
11:45neither in the Qur'an nor in the Hadith.
11:47O my friend!
11:49Every prophet is a Sufi.
11:52Every prophet.
12:06He is not only a Sufi himself.
12:08He is the one who makes a Sufi.
12:10He is the one who purifies the soul.
12:12So purifying the soul is the basis.
12:15Now the one whose soul is not purified,
12:18cannot see Sufism anywhere.
12:20And the one whose soul is purified,
12:22is successful in this world as well as in the hereafter.
12:25Now in the Sufi tradition,
12:28the Sufi tradition of Bar-e-Sagheer,
12:30here in Bar-e-Sagheer,
12:32we usually see four chains.
12:34And it will be on your tongue as well.
12:36The tongue is always open.
12:38You will be able to speak.
12:40There is the chain of Chishtiyah.
12:42There is the chain of Qadriyah.
12:44There is the chain of Naqshbandiyah.
12:46And there is the chain of Suhurwardi.
12:48There are other chains as well.
12:50But these four are the big chains.
12:52So in the Sufi tradition of Bar-e-Sagheer,
12:54the chain of Chishtiyah has such a big role.
12:56It is possible that no one will listen to me.
12:59There is no importance of what I say.
13:02So let us ask Kalandra Lahori,
13:04Hazrat Iqbal.
13:06Is there any role of the Sufis here?
13:08Is there any role of the chain of Chishtiyah here?
13:11In the Sufi tradition of Bar-e-Sagheer?
13:13So Hazrat Iqbal in his own time,
13:15which you can say is about 85-90 years ago,
13:19he says that even today,
13:21if in Bar-e-Sagheer, in India,
13:23there are 7 crore Muslims,
13:26out of which 6 crore are Muslims
13:28in relation to Ahl-e-Tasawwuf.
13:306 crore.
13:32Now the calculator of those
13:34who are for Ahl-e-Tasawwuf,
13:36or for Babus, or for Wali,
13:38they say that
13:40Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Anjweri
13:42must have taught the Kalima to 900,000.
13:44He does not believe that Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti taught it to 900,000.
13:48He believes that Zakir Naik taught it to 1100,000.
13:51He believes that Zakir Naik taught it to 1100,000.
13:56We also believe in Zakir Naik.
13:59And we have reached the conclusion that
14:01if today's Dr. Zakir Naik
14:03can teach the Kalima to 1100,000,
14:05then Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti
14:07can also teach the Kalima to 900,000.
14:09We are not even denying this.
14:13And we are only requesting that
14:15if today's Dr. Zakir Naik can teach the Kalima to 100,000,
14:17then how much has my Lord given him?
14:19So Hazrat Iqbal said that
14:21if there are 7 crore,
14:23then today it is possible that after 100 years
14:25there are 9 crore, or 10 crore.
14:27But the number of crores that will increase,
14:29out of which the majority is of the Chishti community.
14:33The majority is of the Chishti community.
14:37So out of that 900,000,
14:41even if it is a crore,
14:43what is the matter with 900,000?
14:45That 10,000,000 will be from our side.
14:47So Hazrat Khwaja taught him the Kalima.
14:49And as Dr. Sahab said,
14:51every era has its own requirements.
14:53We do not want to make the Quran authentic.
14:55You are absolutely right.
14:57This is the Sahifa Inquilab.
14:59If not the Quran, then the Inquilab.
15:01If it is authentic, then it will be fun.
15:03Hazrat Syedna Imam Sajjad,
15:05Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen,
15:07used to say,
15:09O people! Just give me the Quran.
15:11Take away the whole world.
15:13I will not feel lonely.
15:15So we went away from the Quran.
15:18When we come closer to the Quran,
15:20then we will know.
15:22So the Ahl-e-Tasawwuf worked according to the requirements of the time.
15:26So the Sufis came in the subcontinent.
15:28Now the work of a Sufi is not what is happening today.
15:31You abuse the opponents,
15:34you insult everyone,
15:36you call them disbelievers,
15:38you call them arrogant,
15:40and you call yourself a Mubalig.
15:42So this is not the case.
15:44A Sufi is not a Mubalig.
15:46He says,
15:48Hazrat Khwaja Ajmeer,
15:52came to the door of Rahmat-ul-Alai,
15:54to give a Hindu Haagri.
15:56Ajmeer Sharif.
15:58So a Muslim said,
16:00this Hazrat Khwaja is mine.
16:02He belongs to the Muslims.
16:04What have you come here for?
16:06Your forefathers did not read the Kalima on his request.
16:09What have you come to take today?
16:11He said, O people,
16:13he is not a Muslim.
16:15He is a poor person.
16:17Whoever is poor,
16:19he will come to his door.
16:21He will give him.
16:23So the Sufis,
16:25by eliminating everyone,
16:27by eliminating this difference,
16:29he wants to tell the world,
16:31that come near me.
16:33As soon as you are disillusioned with my appearance,
16:36the Lord of Unity will come.
16:38He will come as a Messenger.
16:40One day,
16:42in the light of Surah Yusuf,
16:44when the mention of Hazrat Yusuf
16:46comes in our minds,
16:48then immediately the beauty of Yusuf,
16:50that is the beauty of your appearance,
16:52comes in front of us.
16:54There are six verses on the beauty of Yusuf.
16:56In all the other verses,
16:58not the beauty of the Surah of Hazrat Yusuf,
17:00but the beauty of your Seerah is seen.
17:02So a Sufi is one,
17:04who has to sleep in the Surah as well as in the Seerah.
17:08What will I say about the great scholars?
17:12Allah had blessed them with wealth,
17:16and had given them truthfulness as well.
17:18Look at the Sufis.
17:20Allah has made them famous.
17:22They are famous in name as well as in deeds.
17:25In this age,
17:27in the age of materialism,
17:29in the 21st century,
17:31when it was said,
17:33in those days the idols were made of stones.
17:36Today this world is an idol.
17:38This wealth,
17:40this dirham,
17:41this dinar,
17:42this dollar,
17:43this euro,
17:44this pound,
17:45this is an idol.
17:46So if you run after it,
17:47then you too will become a polytheist.
17:49Whatever makes you heedless of the remembrance of Allah,
17:52then you become a polytheist.
17:54So those people are in today's age,
17:57who do not care about this.
17:59So from this we came to know,
18:01that the chain of polytheism,
18:03in the Sufi tradition of Bar-e-Sagheer,
18:05has such a big role,
18:07that if today there are 7 crore Muslims,
18:09then Allah has made 6 crore as a favor for them.
18:12And ending the discussion,
18:14Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh Ali Hajweri,
18:18Hazrat Data's son, Kashf-ul-Mahjoob,
18:21I will only mention his name,
18:23because time is up.
18:24He says,
18:25that the foundation of Sufism is based on 8 things.
18:288 things.
18:29The first is generosity.
18:32What is it?
18:33The second is consent.
18:35The third is patience.
18:38The fourth is indication.
18:41How many are there?
18:43The fifth is poverty.
18:46The sixth is ignorance.
18:48The seventh is tourism.
18:51And the eighth is poverty.
18:53If Allah gives these 8 things,
18:56consider that Allah has made him a Sufi.
18:59And then he explains.
19:01He says,
19:02that the generosity is due to Hazrat Ibrahim A.S.
19:04So much generosity,
19:06that he sacrificed his son with his own hands.
19:09He killed him with his own hands.
19:12The generosity is due to Hazrat Ismail A.S.
19:15He was so pleased,
19:17that at the age of 13,
19:18he offered his neck to his Lord.
19:20And he said to Allah,
19:22tie your hands,
19:23tie your feet,
19:24sharpen your knife,
19:25lower my face,
19:27so that when the knife is sharpened,
19:29and the blood flows,
19:30my love for you will not prevail.
19:33And by the command of Allah,
19:34you will not be left behind,
19:36and I will not be left behind.
19:38So that is generosity,
19:39that is consent.
19:40And my Lord gives patience to the Sufi,
19:43which is given to Hazrat Ayyub A.S.
19:47And there is a sign,
19:49and there is an explanation of the sign.
19:52In today's time,
19:53how can we say that there is a sign?
19:56In today's time,
19:57there is a sign.
19:58And with whom is it related?
20:00With Hazrat Zakariya A.S.
20:02That my Lord has said,
20:04when you will get Yahya,
20:06those three days,
20:07you will speak to people with a sign.
20:10You will not speak with your tongue.
20:12This means,
20:13when my Lord gives to a person with His sign,
20:17then it is the biggest blessing of his life.
20:20Related to poverty,
20:22with Hazrat Yahya A.S.
20:24You must know,
20:25Hazrat Yahya A.S.
20:27was cut off with a sickle in his head.
20:29He lived in his country,
20:31in a poor country.
20:32He lived like a traveler.
20:35So a Sufi is a traveler.
20:37He does not consider the world to be the last destination.
20:40He knows that this is a transit.
20:42He has to go today,
20:43he has to go tomorrow,
20:44he has to go in the morning,
20:45he has to go in the evening.
20:46Who has to live here?
20:47Related to poverty,
20:48it is with Hazrat Musa A.S.
20:50that first of all,
20:52Hazrat Musa A.S.
20:53was wearing the clothes of a Sufi.
20:56Related to tourism,
20:58it is with Hazrat Isa A.S.
21:00that he spent 33 years of his youth alone.
21:03Related to poverty,
21:05it is with me and you,
21:06with the Prophet Muhammad A.S.
21:08And Hazrat Data Sahib Jumla writes that
21:10the person whom my Lord has made the owner of the whole universe,
21:15he too has spent his whole life alone.
21:18And he has spent it by tying stones on his stomach.
21:21So a Sufi is that.
21:23It is a strange thing.
21:25The first is chastity.
21:27The last is poverty.
21:28Where is the Fakir?
21:29He is a Sakhi.
21:30These Sufis are Fakirs too.
21:32These are Sakhis too.
21:34Whatever they have,
21:36they put it on the gun of Allah.
21:38So in the chain of chastity,
21:40sometimes we see Khwaja Moinuddin,
21:42sometimes we see Khwaja Qutubuddin,
21:44sometimes we see Baba Fareed,
21:46and sometimes we see Khwaja Nizamuddin Mahboob-e-Auliya.
21:52Related to the chain of chastity,
21:54find it.
21:55He said,
21:56In Madinah too,
21:57you will find paradise.
21:59But the chastity Sufis,
22:00even after forgetting the pure land,
22:02they give paradise with their mouth.
