00:00Saints are laying seven and a half on the road. It could only mean they're going up against Carolina here. Total is 43 and a half. Donnie, are you giving the Panthers a prayer in this one?
00:15No, I don't really give them a prayer. I do think I do have a couple of those, you know, altered parlays, which I think Bryce Young can throw for over 150 yards, which again, not saying much at this point.
00:24I think they'll be losing the game, but this could be an interesting one for the Saints because Kamara should have a big day. Olave should have a big day. Derrick Carr easing back in.
00:32The perfect way to ease back in against an NFL defense is to go up against the Carolina Panthers. I don't think there's going to be much that doesn't work against that team, but it is hard.
00:40Look, seven and a half, which means you got to win this game by double digits. Yes, Carolina is terrible, but also are we just factoring in like Derrick Carr shows up today and it's 21 of 24 for 268 yards, two touchdowns.
00:51Take some hills in and everything is fine. No, I do think there'll be some struggles, but having said that, there is no way I'm backing the Carolina Panthers at all the rest of the year.
00:59There is no talent on this football team, and you know what? A lot of their no talent is actually shipped out on Tuesday.
01:05Yeah, you're probably right. They'll be shipped out, but I can't buy into Dennis Allen and the New Orleans Saints. They have lost six straight.
01:13I watched that whole game against the L.A. Chargers, whether it be Spencer Rattler, Jay Kaner, it doesn't matter that it's Derrick Carr today.
01:21From a defensive perspective, they are checked out. They couldn't stop the run last week, and I saw success over the top with Justin Herbert.
01:29I know Bryce Young is not Justin Herbert in any capacity, but a divisional game where they got blasted week number one, I'm willing to take Carolina with the points in this matchup.
01:39I do feel maybe we get through the total just because if you're both teams right now, you should be airing it out 50 times for each quarterback today, but I still like Carolina with the points.
01:51Listen, I should be on Carolina here, but I think this is kind of something that's happened probably for a lot of bettors this year.
01:59You pick your Carolina spot. You go, all right, this is a good number. You lose your bet, obviously, and then you're like, all right, I can't do this anymore.
02:07The point differential of the Carolina Panthers, where they are at 147 to the next closest team, which is the Titans, is 71.
02:19To put that into perspective, that is the gap essentially from the Tennessee Titans to the Houston Texans.
02:27I mean, that is like the ballpark, or like the Seattle Seahawks or the Cincinnati Banks.
02:31I mean, you are talking about the worst team in the league by a ton.
02:35Let me ask this quick. I don't want to get stuck on it too long, but Donnie, Dave Canales, he's fine here?
02:41He's allowed to put out one of the worst teams this league's ever seen?
02:45It all depends on who the coaching change was made for.
02:49Was it the owner stepping in that goes, all right, guys, I'm going to give you carte blanche.
02:52You go out and get the best guy out there and show him. All right, I'll trust your judgment.
02:56Or was it David Tepper, who we've known to step in and go, this is my guy.
03:00Nobody's interviewing but me, and that's where he's going to get the extra season.
03:03But you're right. When you haven't used to be in the past, I'm not going to fire this guy because I've got to pay him four more years.
03:08That's probably $35 million and the rest of his coaching staff.
03:11Then bring in another guy who's going to be even more high profile, realizing we fire coaches a lot.
03:15He's going to want $75 million over five years. I think he's going to be OK this season.
03:19But Tepper's got money to burn. Like money is no object.
03:23If he wants to get rid of another coaching staff as opposed to maybe a mom and pop shop like Cincinnati, that's what you worry about.
03:28Because he's hearing it from all sides right now. They are embarrassing.
03:32You can't change every player every time because there's a salary cap.
03:36From a coaching perspective, you brought this guy in to fix this young rookie quarterback.
03:40And is he regressing? My goodness.
03:43He grew for two and a quarter. He had 100 yards with about eight minutes left in the fourth quarter.
03:48You know how I know? Because I did have 225.
03:51Now he got through that number in garbage time where they picked up the touchdown.
03:55But they did this last year, right? With Frank Reich.
03:59Now, Frank Reich was deserving to be fired, right?
04:01I mean, the game after Miami was absolutely atrocious.
04:05He was completely gutless as a head coach. I said it. Nobody else.
04:08He was. I mean, he was atrocious. Dave Canales is a young guy.
04:12They brought him in to potentially help and mentor Bryce Young.
04:16It's not working out.
04:18At the end of the day, I think he gets at least one more year.
04:22If the product is terrible next year and they're in the same spot, Kev, then he's fine.
