00:00Paris is my happy place, but of course, there's no place like home.

00:27When I was in the Philippines, of course, I had a lot of things to bring home.

00:30The first thing I brought home was pancit canton, chicharon, corned beef, laurel leaves, and corned beef.

00:42Welcome to my tree house here in Paris.

00:44And now, we're going to go upstairs.

00:46I tried to bring all of the special pieces from my house, my home in the Philippines.

00:52These are all works that I've done.

00:54Over here, we have all of these cute artworks from a Parisian artist.

00:59My husband, he was the one who put this here.

01:02This is where I pack, I put all of my Filipino designers.

01:05I like to bring a mix of Filipino designers, and I left it here.

01:09The designers here in the Philippines, they don't just give you a chance.

01:15So I tried to bring as much as I can to Paris, and to the Lestina store,

01:19so that if I have a moment that suddenly opens up for me,

01:24my first priority is to wear Filipino designers.

01:27I remember it was Michael Ava, and then the one, Ivar,

01:33Men's Fashion Week, that's why I go to him.

01:36You can wear anything.

01:38And when I wore Ivar's clothes, there were so many.

01:42That's when you know, the unsung heroes of Fashion Week, the photographers.

01:46And if you're wearing a Filipino designer, can you imagine the mileage they will get?

01:59Sometimes, I was invited to UP to talk in their fashion school class.

02:04One of them, Ron, designed a hat that was very eccentric, quirky.

02:12I brought him there because it was my way of reminding myself again,

02:18to stay authentically yourself.

02:20It was my way of manifesting Ron's dream.

02:23In a sense, it was taking him with me to the fashion capital, which is Paris.

02:28And then I just have endless, like, amobots, as you can see.

02:32It's in a really, really nice, safe area, so this is the number one reason why I got it.

02:37And, you know, it just fits perfectly for what I do.

02:41All of my winter clothes are here, so I don't need to overweight.

02:44And then over here, I have more bags.

02:50The apartment at the time that I was going to Paris, I didn't have a sponsorship for the hotels.

02:56So it was a huge saving for my team.

02:59I made sure that it was a two-bedroom.

03:01Before my walk-in, it was also my team's room.

03:04Then, at least we have a place to go to where we can make more memories.

03:09That's why I decided to invest in an apartment there.

03:12Speaking as a former single girl, it's always important that you have your own.

03:19I'm thankful that I have a good life and everything,

03:23but it's not the same story for a lot of women out there.

03:28That's what my dad and my mom taught me,

03:30that you really need to find your own place,

03:34so that no matter what happens, you'll have a place to go to.

03:37If you really persevere, you'll get it.

03:39So that no matter what happens, no one can separate you.

03:43You have your own place.

03:45I'm just so grateful.

03:47Anything is possible. This can actually be your situation.
