Firefly Aerospace has appointed Jason Kim as CEO, bringing him over from Boeing subsidiary Millennium Space Systems. Under Kim’s leadership, Firefly aims to leverage its Alpha and upcoming MLV rockets, targeting the mid-class space transport market amid dominant players like SpaceX and ULA. Plans include MLV’s debut in 2026, and Alpha launches doubling annually until reaching a bi-monthly cadence. Firefly’s Blue Ghost lunar lander is set to launch under a NASA contract.
