00:00The local government of Batangas is trying to speed up the clearing operations in Pinsalan left by Hurricane Cristina.

00:08But they admitted that it is difficult because of the lack of equipment.

00:30Here in Laurel, Batangas, people are calling for help.

00:40The total number of infected in the whole province of Batangas has reached 60

00:46because of Hurricane Cristina.

00:49It is estimated that 14 are still missing.

00:53However, some residents here cannot avoid the trauma of the calamity.

00:59Nailen Galupe was asked how they fought their lives despite the storm.

01:08I cried, I said, my children, my children.

01:11I will run to the exit of our gate.

01:15But I was carried away by the landslide.

01:21My mouth was open.

01:24I asked the Lord to help us.

01:27I asked for help.

01:29I asked for a second chance to live.

01:36Laurel, Batangas is one of the most affected by the disaster.

01:40Many residents come here because many of them lost their homes after the landslide.

01:48The camera records the many paths that cannot be crossed

01:52because of the landslides from the mountains.

01:56Some roads were damaged and some bridges were also destroyed.

02:00It is normal to see large pieces of land on the road.

02:05It is normal to see pieces of land that should have been used to build houses.

02:10But now, it serves as an instrument to destroy houses.

02:14The residents' livelihoods were ruined.

02:20We are saddened by what happened.

02:23We did not expect a strong storm to hit our town, here in Laurel.

02:35In some evacuation sites, there is no electricity.

02:38That is why children and their families have to endure the heat.

02:42In Laurel, Batangas, there are already 11 people affected by the landslide.

02:46The local government is working on a clearing operation.

02:51But they admitted that they are having a hard time because of the lack of equipment.

03:00In Talisay, Batangas, 20 people were affected by the landslide.
