00:06appeal for the SRC International case, praised Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for accepting

00:11Najib's apology over the 1MDB scandal.

00:15In a post on X, Zayed called Anwar generous and compassionate for welcoming the apology.

00:20While some have criticized Najib's apology as insincere, Zayed said it was good enough

00:25for him and felt Anwar's view on it was more important.

00:29He added that although judges found Najib guilty, it's reasonable for others to see

00:33it differently, especially since Najib is already serving his sentence.

00:37Zayed also said Anwar's response is key to UMNO and Najib's future.

00:42Najib, in a statement read by his son Nizar, said he had spent the last 26 months reflecting

00:48on the 1MDB scandal, which he found painful since it happened under his leadership as

00:52Prime Minister and Finance Minister.
