00:03Here's your spooky spot on the Funko Pop Deluxe Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington with Halloween Door.

00:10It's not Halloween until you've displayed this officially licensed Pop Deluxe Nightmare

00:34Before Christmas 30th Anniversary Jack with Halloween Town Door in your home.

00:39The collectible has a rounded base that holds a figure of Jack Skellington standing next

00:43to a tree trunk decorated with a jack-o'-lantern.

00:46Surely there must only be one holiday trunk.

00:48At least that's what he thunk.

00:50Just before of course we get a closer look at the Jack Skellington with Halloween Door.

00:53First the tape measure is going to tell us that this Funko Pop is going to stand about

00:57four and a half inches in height or it's going to be roughly 11 centimeters tall.

01:03Now you know me.

01:04I tend not to collect a lot of Funko Pops and yet during the hallows season I was seen

01:07more tempted.

01:09Just recently in fact we had a look at a couple of cereal box mascots.

01:12Literally cereal box mascots.

01:14Count Jocklin, Frankenbear on either side of him.

01:16Now of course we also had a look at Sam.

01:18This is the flocked version I got from Spirit Halloween.

01:21So what's this?

01:23What's this?

01:24Whatever can it be?

01:25It's my paranormal candle I bought for Charlie.

01:28It's Charlie the ghost.

01:30Although I have to admit in the last couple of days I've been making some contact with

01:33some spiritual entity.

01:35I don't know if it's actually Charlie or not.

01:37We've had a good rapport back and forth and I'm hoping that will continue for the rest

01:40of Spottober.

01:41And as the candle I'm sure will be joining us for the remainder of this month as we get

01:44a closer look though at Jack Skellington with the Halloween town door.

01:47Now there was two versions of this actually.

01:49In fact I think there were a couple more than that.

01:51But there was also as well the Christmas door which I might even have a look at during the

01:55Christmas season.

01:56But in the meantime of course we don't want to rush along the calendar.

01:59Let's get though a closer look at the Halloween town door that comes included with Jack Skellington.

02:03As you can see he's pointing to the door.

02:05The door itself doesn't open up.

02:07Not that I had any expectations that it would.

02:10But Jack itself as you can see is about the same size as the stump.

02:14The door itself, while not having any movement at all, Jack at least you can rotate his head

02:18all the way around.

02:19Which goes sort of with the territory of what you get with Funko Pops.

02:23Usually it's just if anything you can rotate the head.

02:25The only thing I would worry about though is with the head being so close like this

02:28to the stump.

02:29I worry though will that start to scrape or flake off on the sides of Jack's head.

02:33I mean obviously with him having a white head like this there is of course that opportunity

02:37where paint could probably find its way onto the side of Jack's white face.

02:41Head sculpt is nice.

02:42Of course we've got the large black pupils there that represent a Funko Pop.

02:46Works quite well with Jack's skeleton.

02:49Stitched mouth from ear to ear if he actually did have ears and little slits in the front

02:52there for his nose.

02:53Do I smell pumpkin pie?

02:56I like that they've actually sculpted these little eyebrows on the tops of his head as

02:59well.

03:00Of course down below that he seems a little thicker.

03:03A little fuller than what his normal body would be.

03:05He's got his one arm bent pointing towards the door.

03:08I mean maybe inviting everybody else to see what's in store.

03:10Of course he's got some panel striping there on the sides.

03:13The paint for the most part is done pretty well.

03:15There are a few little areas where I can see like not all the white's been done.

03:19Maybe some of the paint's flaked off but generally though from all around it does look like he's

03:22pretty complete.

03:23He's got the little tail there on the back.

03:25Now these are soft plastic so you want to be a little bit more careful of that.

03:28The bottom of it doesn't have anything.

03:30I was kind of really thinking that this would have at least Funko Pop.

03:33I mean it does say Funko LLC but come on I mean we could have done a little bit more

03:36than that.

03:37Even though I just recently bought this I think at Shoppers Drug Mart.

03:41Shoppers surprisingly here in Canada it's usually a place where you buy your medication

03:44or if you're starting to see ghosts.

03:47From time to time do have, especially during Halloween, they sometimes have Funko related

03:51things that are you know things that you'd expect for Halloween.

03:54They happen to have this guy even though this one technically was released a year ago.

03:57So it's a little bit older.

03:59Some screw holes are also there as well.

04:01It does make it a little bit uglier but I mean obviously that's not the part that you

04:03can be seeing.

04:04What you're gonna be seeing though is some really nice ring lines there.

04:06I don't know if that would be able to tell us just how old this tree stump is that Jack

04:10is standing on.

04:11I mean how many rings would we have?

04:14I can't, I'm not even gonna bother to count that.

04:16Nice texturing that they've also done there for the tree and the tree at least is a different

04:19color than the base.

04:21I think it does bring a little bit different, I mean color wise.

04:24You don't really want to have the stump to be the exact same color as the base.

04:27The tree itself looks good.

04:28I mean obviously with the jack-o-lantern there from the front of it, nicely carved in there

04:33as well.

04:34They haven't even just painted it.

04:35They've actually sculpted that to the plastic, like the little nose that they've got there

04:38as well.

04:39It looks really good.

04:41I would only really have this out during Halloween and then again like there's that Christmas

04:44town version.

04:45A little bit of a different looking version of Jack also as well.

04:48It's not the exact same one but I feel like I've also seen a couple of other variations

04:52where there's other holiday themed tree stumps that come included with Jack Skellington.

04:57Also obviously here for Spocktober, I wanted to look at the one that was for Halloween.

05:01Again I just recently picked this up even though obviously marked on the bottom of the

05:04base it says 2023.

05:06I mean obviously for me at least this would be one I would like to have only really out

05:10for Halloween.

05:11Certain Funko Pops like the ones we've already looked at with the Count Chocolate and Frankenberry.

05:15Those would only really going out for Halloween and even like Sam, Flocked, Pajamas or otherwise.

05:21Those would only be ones I would put out from the beginning, essentially near the end of

05:25September to the very beginning of November.

05:27That's sort of the span of time that I usually put out a lot of my Halloween decorations.

05:31Sam will also be one that becomes an annual tradition.

05:33I also though I would generally think of Nightmare Before Christmas to be more of a Christmas

05:38movie than necessarily a Halloween.

05:40I know that's always a debated topic between fans.

05:42I mean yes it does take place technically in Halloween Town but the majority of this

05:46is all about Jack learning more about the magic of Christmas and he goes into Christmas

05:50Town.

05:51So I was trying to think of that more even it says in the title, A Nightmare Before Christmas.

05:56It doesn't make any mention though of Halloween but this would be something I would put out

05:59during Halloween.

06:00Limited though on possibility, it's got a lot of detailing though.

06:03It's a fun little Funko Pop even though I'm not one that collects a whole lot of Funko

06:07Pops.

06:08This is one at least I was glad to have picked up.

06:11I think I may have gotten a deal picking up Jack Skellington, my local Shoppers Drug Mart.

06:16Not that that's a shameless plug at all for Shoppers Drug Mart but it's the go-to place

06:19if you ever need medication.

06:21Jack I remember at least picking this guy up and probably spending about $16 for it.

06:25This stamp on the bottom of the base saying 2023 may have had something to do with why

06:29he was marked down because of the going price of what this is selling for right now on eBay.

06:33Jack Skellington with the Halloween door sets you back anywhere from $35 to $40 each.

06:38Ouch!

06:39I wonder if I will fare just as well finding the holiday Christmas door version of Jack

06:44Skellington as that probably will be the other booked end of the last three months that we

06:48have for this year.

06:50Jack in the Halloween door is going to handle the territory from September to about the

06:54early beginning of November and then Christmas door Jack is going to be taking over for the

06:58rest of this year.

07:00That is of course if I can find one at my local Shoppers Drug Mart.
